I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me all the must visit places in HK and also tips on how to keep ourselves safe during travelling. Or the place to avoid in HK. Thanks. =)

Go to Ocean Park, Disney Land, the big Budda in Lantau Island. Also, you have to go to ALL of the shopping mall especially the one at Causeway Bay, it is the best in the world.
How to keep yourself safe? Well, mind your wallet and don't put it in your back pocket. Also, don't leave your bags on the ground for even a second. When you pay for something in a store, take your money and pay it then put back your wallet in your pocket quickly, don't just hold it on the street, otherwise, people will take it and run.

I totally agree with Bopols, there are many places to visit in Hong Kong, and you should explore as much as you can.
Certainly the "peak" is one place to go, and the floating restaurant. The Yum Cha restaurant in Wanchai a short distance from the Cable & Wireless building is fantastic.
The main thing is to explore and have fun and discover tour own favourite places.

There is no place to avoid, as long as you keep alert.
Hongkong is such a fun place to go to, and I do not want to spoil your trip by boxing you in in a corner. In fact, the best way to enjoy Hongkong is to "explore" it. You just might find a shop or a place that you can proudly declare to your friends as a "find".
By the same token, I would not suggest "must see" places in Hongkong. To do so would be an injustice, and will lose the experience of discovering.

You have got to go to Ocean Park, Disneyland, The Peak, 360 degrees cable car, The giant Buddha and the floating resto. Apart from that ucould go shopping almost everywhere in HK so, hope to see you here soon...look up Hongkong at Frommer's.com too.

avoid disneyland in hk..seriously..its really really small and thing inside are very expensive. you are NOT allowed to bring food in there, and yes..they will look inside ur bag if its kinda big or something like that~
i suggest u go shopping...very cheap stuff, good quality, lots of selections
and KEEP ALL UR PERSONAL THINGS (wallets, cellphones, etc) in your bag and keep the bag close because there are ALOT of pick pockets there. avoid putting expensive things in ur pocket =]]]

Aberdeen is worth seeing, Ocean park, Repulse Bay, Victoria Peak.
Don't forget the night laser show.
I wouldn't bother with Disneyland - why go to China to see US 'culture'?
Best of all, just walk around and see how life is.
Photocopy your passport and keep it apart from the original.
