LOL--Run James Run--I'm asking out of curiosity after I read the first page of a book earlier. (Angels and Demons--Dan Brown,) because the first page reminded me of a friend who has posed to me several question regarding religion. I don't have a question. lol

What would happen if I told my parents I was an atheist?

Nope. Began asking many questions when I was about twelve and by the time I was sixteen I became an atheist and refused to go to church with my parents. Been thinking for myself ever since.

Like 1000 ! It is so normal. And also the verses can be taken out of context so easily and confuse people. I love my Study Bible as it has such good footnotes and I don't have to ask as often :)

Nope.

I got yelled at a lot for asking questions which embarrassed my parents, but I kept asking.

Later my questions started to embarrass my pastor and eventually other pastors.

I did a few times but it was because I thought I should already know the answer and was afraid people would laugh that I didn't.

There were many questions that I had that I was unable to ask at church because I was then considered a blasphemous SOB who needed to be set straight.

Ask it.

Or email it to me and I'll ask it.

I've been embarrassed by one or two questions here, but it's the Internet, so whatever.
