I am a Christian, and I do go to Church. When you say the " church " is corrupted, I'm not sure what you mean by the Church. Some denominations are allowing certain things into their churches that are not scriptural, if that's what you mean. If I was attending one of those, I would leave and find a real honest to goodness Bible(as a whole) believing Church. One that believes in the blood of Jesus Christ, and the Trinity, which some churches have cut out of their mission statement.

I do not go to church and I feel just fine about it. I was getting tired of being questioned about things like, "When are you having kids?" "Are you gonna homeschool them?" and my favorite thing someone said is, "Either you believe every single word in the Bible or you think it's a load of crap. There is no gray area." Well, that just about did it for me. I have begun my own spiritual path as a Christian and I have found that a day walking in the woods is way more uplifting and spiritual than a day at church with people who are judging you. I do not feel that my church is, or was, corrupted at all. Quite the contrary...they were most welcoming and nice. I just felt that some things don't need to be asked and that yes, there is always a gray area. Perhaps I will go back someday, but for now, I'm quite happy on my path and I don't feel that God is upset with me in any way. My husband and I are also a bit too open-minded for most churches...we were met with harsh attitudes when we expressed ourselves on certain topics.

I've had my share of rotten tomato churches; but that's not say to all churches are bad.
Going to a church is good for you in many ways. First it gives you the chance to openly worship God. This is very helpful for your spiritual growth as a Christian; it gives you the opportunity to hear the Word being taught by someone outside of your usual "think tank". (Sorry, I couldn't think of another way to say, people who have view points than those who you normally talk to on a daily basis.)
And being in a church is where you can get out and start to use you own gifts and/or abilities for God's glory.
Church is greatly important, and it's for this reason the the devil does everything he can to keep sincere people out of it!

I do not go to church. For one, there is not an honest to God, (and I mean that literally) church in my city. I have attended one church when I first moved here but one Sunday, Satan and his demons filled the church as worship was going on. People began to chant, looking like they were in a trance. The only one smiling and eating it up was the female pastor, who we later found out tries to sabatoge her husbands (first pastor) sermon, everytime he's at the pulpit. If I could remove him from the building he preaches in and his wife, everyone in this town would learn about God and the Holy Spirit in 5 minutes. But, no, I do not attend any churches here. Not into Satan. God Bless

Both! I go to church, but see it as the mission field. God warned us that in the last days the church would fall into a great apostacy, which would make it lukewarm and in effective as far as reaching the world. We need to attend to encourage other Christians in their walk with the Lord, and do the same for us.

As a whole I don't think the church is corrupted but individual ones like the one by my house is. They put a prayer on a phamplet for the money to add an un-needed addition to their church! I know I should go to church more regularly but they don't seem truly Christain to me.

Some churches may be corrupted. But I believe if we study the word, then we will know.
