It could just be the summer heat and humidity or the dry winter air (depending on where you live).

Don't wrap it in a towel when it's wet, don't brush or comb your hair when it's wet, brush it less (but don't totally skip brushing it) and get 1/2 inch trimmed off every 4-6 weeks.

When you wash your hair, with the shampoo focus more on the body and roots and when you condition focus more on the body and the ends. Right before you get out of the shower, riinse your hair in cold water to add shine and smooth your hair shaft. After you get out of the shower, use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream. Also drink more water and eat more protein.

WHAT is your question??
Have you thought of going into the hairdressers and asking?
The supermarkets always have great hair products that assist with split ends and using them, smooths them down so as they seem to disapear. When was the last time you had a TRIM? And throw out the hairbrush you may be using at present, if it is not a good hair brush. By skipping along to the hairstylists, taking your brushes with you and sitting down and discussing your concerns, you get the answers you are looking for....also, use a good conditioner...a detangler, so as your not pulling and picking at your fine locks, and snapping them apart, trying to smooth the tangles out of your hair.

...get it trimmed ever 6 weeks and dont brush wet hair...comb it from end to tip w/ a large tooth comb...use a leave in conditioner as well...my hair has a tendency to be the same...stylists say it's healthy but Inotice split ends...(I only get trims or cuts every 4 months though)...and that isn't good b/c by then so much hair has to be taken off b/c it wasn't cut sooner...see what I'm saying?

That's natural. You should get your hair trimmed once every 6 months.. The split from brushing your hair. Putting it up in a pony tail, etc.. And if you just don't want to trim it cause you're growing it out? It actually grows faster when you trim it.

try and limit the use of heating tools on your hair. Use a high quality conditoner or deep conditioner(best) get a few inches of your ends clipped. when you do use heating tools use a heat protecting spray. And DONT wash your hair EVERYDAY. youll wash away the natural oils in your hair. wash your hair every 3 to 7 days with a high quality shampoo. that work for me.

just out of curiousity, after taking a shower, do you rub or dry your hair by using a towel? if you do, than that might be the cause of it. rubbing your hair in a towe can cause some damage. and ou should use a wide tooth comb or pick to brsh your hair. others causes breakage
