Would they still feel the need to troll around the Religion and Spirituality section of Yahoo Q & A?

I mean if Atheists believe that there is no God, than why bother talking about something that doesn't exist? Why not ask Yahoo to set up a category where you can discuss Atheist issues?

the problem is not beliefs being questioned, or even Atheists expressing themselves --- It's just the way "some" do it...Rude an Arrogant.

I agree. :-)...

But I don't spend a whole lot of time here on the R&S either. (Mostly because I don't like all of the bickering/fighting. It's just not my style.) I don't think it's only the atheists that are at fault here though. Some Christians have them beat all to pieces in the "rude & arrogant" category.

That being said, it seems that there are already so many differences among Christians and our own beliefs. These differences are huge without adding anything else into the mixture. Dealing with legitimate Christian questions could be a category in and of itself--and is on other websites. On these websites--that I've noticed anyway--atheists do not (or are not allowed) to troll.

I have to say though, that the Lord called us to be witnesses. What better way to witness than to have them come to us? ;-) There is a chance that one answer here may be the one that opens their eyes--yanks off their blinders--shows them the way, the truth and the Life...

The Lord never told us that witnessing would be easy. YA R&S section is sometimes quite a good example of this.

R&S is an open forum, therefore, not limited to theists.

Have you ever visited an atheist site, and seen how many theists put in their two cents? If not, check out the Hate Mail at Normal Bob Smith: http://normalbobsmith.com/

Bob has a fun, rollicking time with theist visitors to his site. He's an intelligent guy with a great sense of humor.

Interestingly, I've never seen an atheist tell theists to stay away from their Web sites that were created specifically for atheists. I wonder why. Perhaps it's because atheists are secure in their beliefs. Hmm.

So you are saying that most atheists shouldn't be here because some are rude and arrogant? What about those Christians, and there are plenty of examples, who are arrogant and self righteous?

EDIT-Atheism is an aspect of spirituality. It's appropriate that it be discussed in this section. If everyone in YA only communicated with people who shared their views, then what would be the point of having this forum?

How would removing the atheists from R&S help the troll problem? The majority of the trolls here are Christians, as are almost all of the people who come here only to insult others. If you removed the atheists - almost the only people here who ever give correct answers to the questions here - you'd have an even worse cesspool than we've currently got.

Rather than whine about the atheists, why don't you direct your efforts at getting rid of the Christians who only come here to lie and troll?

atheists feel that the world is better without people believing in god, and christians think that the world is better with belief in god.
As much as you would like the R/S section to be free on any sort of dissenting opinion that attacks your own, it is only prudent to carry on that debate on the "RELIGION"&spirituality section.
I hate answering a question that is asked so incesstantly, but this is one of those things that people need to understand, even if it is the millioneth questioner.

Let me see .......

Some Atheists are spiritual.

Some Atheists have religion that does not have a imaginary figurehead.

Some people are just too arrogant insisting there is a god.

Most other religions are tolerant, some insisted you believe in them or you end up in their imaginary mystical space of eternal fire call hell.

If there should be a new category to be set up, it should be christian only category where different denomination of chrisitanity fight it out to determine if you can have common consensus on what you call the book of truth.

Wouldn't that kill the debate in all of this? What good does it do to segregate sections to avoid differing opinions? I think it'd get boring quick when everyone agrees. I wouldn't have any one to thumbs down during a discussion of seperation of church & state. We'd just be patting eachother on the back all the time.

If the topic is religion, or worship of a god or gods, then there are flip sides. Those who believe and can make their points on the topic, and those who do not believe and can make their points on the topic. Atheists belong here too.

And as for spirituality, one can believe in spiritual things, even if they do not believe in a god. Still, they belong here.

I know I wouldn't go there. I learned my lesson on that a long time ago when I was first regenerate. I thought if I told them the right thing, in just the right way, they would understand. I guess when God lifts the scales from your eyes, you see everything so clearly, and you forget that just moments before you were as they are.

Only God can open the eyes of the unregenerate. It was a hard lesson, but I learned it well.

That is why I have no sympathy, or patience for their kind.

All they do here is further sear their consciences, because they really need to believe they are right.

It's kind of sad really. Still, I jab at them when I can to further help in the searing. If God has turned them over to a reprobate mind, who am I to question Him?

nicely, I could admit, i presumed human beings would desire to truly be searching for solutions to a pair significant existence questions, even nevertheless it does look that lots of the atheists in this internet site are atheists out of apathy (they do exactly no longer care and in simple terms desire to have relaxing). There are some nevertheless, who look to have theory issues by way of and that they've some sturdy comments and are waiting to talk issues rationally and logically. maximum nevertheless, are in simple terms faith bashers as you have suggested. I stay by using fact I nonetheless have wish and there are some honest dialogs amidst the garbage.
