You are most likely ovulating. Women can experience ovulation pain down in the pelvic region from time to time. It usually last about 36 hrs. If the pain persists longer than this I would see your doctor. If you have been going to your gyno every 6 months for a check up, they would have caught an ovarian cyst then. You would not feel a cyst in its early stages, which would be a few months or more. If you regularily get your paps, the pain is not severe and end within a few days, then you should pass it off as ovulation. Good luck!

It could be an ovarian cyst - I had a cyst same spot - left ovary and it was giving me sharp intense pain too that came and went. Go see your doctor and have them do an ultrasound to check. I actually still have the same pain, eventhough my cyst ruptured. I'm seeing my gyno next week as my doctor thinks I have endometriosis.

Best of luck!

Is it possible that you could be pregnant? A lot of people said a cyst, which is my first guess, but if it is possible that you are pregnant, it could be an eptopic pregnancy, or a pregnancy in the fallopian tube. It causes the tube to rupture. How bad is the pain on a scale of 0-10? 0 being nothing and 10 being emergency room/wanting to die pain. If you are close to a 10 and it is possible that you are pregnant I would get to the closest ER IMMEDIATELY. If your pain is not that severe, nor does it get worse, then I would just call your OB/Gyn and make an appointment.

Sounds like you may have an ovarian cyst. You should go to your ob/gyn and tell him what is bothering you he/she can check you out to see if that is it or if it may be something more serious. If that is not it he/she can refer you to someone else that can take a look and find out what is wrong with you. Good luck I hope you get to feeling better soon. :)
