I believe God created the universe, starting w/ the big bang, solar system, Earth, evoultion, Humans, and God created me!
People say am I christian or what..ect..?
I don't think everything in the bible is true, sense written over more than a life span, and not written in 1 year.I dont believe the world started with 2 WHITE people: Adam and Eve. People say they arn't white, making race isn't like mixing paint, with red and white to get purple. Here's the problem, even if you get black + white does not = Asian race. Asian + hispanic doesn not = white, you see the point, impossible. Sense God didn't make Noah's boat, it would sink for having 1 billion ppl on it.
Why can't I believe there is (1) God, that created everything and want us to live freely and happy. It does not include Christian or any other religion.
Why don't people understand that, I believe in (1) God and that's that?

If you don't belive everything in the Bible, you are not a Christian. Plain and simple. You can't sit on the fence and say "well this MIGHT be true, and this MIGHT have happened." Yes, man might have written the Bible, but it was GOD-BREATHED. He gave the writers the words to write, and they did it. I wish I could have the oppurtunity to be used in such a way. I don't remember anywhere in the Bible that it says Adam and Eve were white anyway, so that point is invalid. God gave Noah the exact measurements for making the ark. Don't you think He would know exactly how much weight it would or would not hold? That point is also invalid. It's good you believe in God, but get your facts straight sweetie.

the Bible says that one God created everything... no problem there.
.
we dont know what skin color Adam and Eve were. so its wrong to assume that they were white.
i have a question.. why do you suppose that the evolutionary chart for human beings coming from apes.. show the men to be white?
.
i dont think that there were a billion people on the earth at the time of the flood.
the point is moot because the record tells us that he didnt build the ark big enough to accomodate all the people.
just male and female of each kind of animal and Noah's family.
but i'm sure that if anyone else had a listening heart for God.. he would have had more of them building arks for themselves too.

Who is telling you that you can't believe in one God?
Adam and Eve were most likely NOT white. They carried all the DNA for all humans. The difference in races can be boiled down to different leves of melanoma and some other common physical characteristics. Noah's boat didn't have a billion people on it.
But you are absolutely free to believe whatever makes sense to you.

I didn't grow up in the church. So I haven't got a religion. But I believe there is only one God. And he created everything! And that is that!
As far as the bible, 10 people can read the same testament and interpret it 10 different ways. I think it's because God gave us a choice!
So regardless what the next person thinks, it's a choice to what you believe. Regardless of what either of us believe God will be the judge and is the only judge of to what his word truly is.

I felt the same way you do most of my life until I met a professor of mine in a religion course. He told me that everyone should find their own path/faith and not worry about what other people think. Not everyone will believe the same way about everything in life, including the existance of God. It is hard to believe just one being created all of what we know. Why, if God is so astonishing, could he have not decided to create evolution? Why would he only place Jesus on earth to teach his word and not think about how different cultures may need another figure, such as Muhammad or Buddha to teach the same things?
I believe God is not necessarily a person or being, but rather a spirit that is within us all. I do not believe we all need to worship the same God or travel to a building every Sunday in order for us to get closer to God. I believe we will all be more spiritual once we have connected to the God within each of us.

Well, you have the first part right. That the universe around you is proof of the existence of God. And that fact alone should drive you to worship and adore him.
The other parts, you are very much off. First off let me attack the proposition of evolution. You seem like a reasonable person, so hear me out.
At the root, modern evolution is the belief of the constant addition of information to genetic structure of the world to keep getting new critters and creatures. The arguement is that, given enough time and energy that something better eventually comes out in the end.
Why is this wrong? First we need to look at the world around us and see if there is addition to the genetic structure occurring. There is not. Scientist have irradiated and mated literally billions of fruit flies in an attempt to get some changes. All that they get are the following: same flies as before, flies that die due to anomolies, blind and deformed flies. There was never a single change in the number of genes in the flies. So the naturally occurring addition of genes can be ruled out based on extensive actual research.
Secondly, I want to give you a very good visual picture of the absurdity of the base arguement of add energy and time to get more rather than less.
Energy in a natural environment causes entropy. Entropy is disorder not order. If I have a frog, we have everything for a for frog to be. All the chemicals, DNA, everything. Now lets add some energy. Put the frog in a blender. If we let that frog get blended until eternity, we will never get a frog back out. All that we get is a pile of chemicals that used to be a frog.
As for all the races coming from one person. It is not only likely, it is required as a fact in biology. The reduction of people into different ethnicities is caused by a reduction in their genetic make up.
A very good comparison of this comes from canines. The wolf is the head of the canine family. All of the information for all kinds of dogs is stored in the wolfs genome. As the wolf was bred for captivity, the selective breeding removed parts of the DNA. So that we end up with retrievers, poodles, terriers, etc. Each selective breeding causes further loss of genetic information.
Similarly with people. Noah had a reasonably complete genome. His decendants all went off and selectively bred themselves within their families. This reduced their genetic information. So with that we end up with black, asian, white, etc. We cannot get back to a complete genome of noah, because the information is lost. Just as the ability to be a wolf was lost when we bred them down to terriers.
Further, I would challenge you to read anything by Josh McDowell. His research into the validity of the scriptures is a masive body of scholarship worth reading.
I was a devout athiest prior to doing all the research. Afterwards, I was without excuse.

You believe God created the Universe, but don't believe in what His Holy word says. There is only (1) God! if you read the Bible, it tells how all the different languages of the world was to be, and how the people was divided to different colors and why. He didn't mix white and black and to even say that is so silly. LOL.
As far as Noah was concerned; God told him to build the ark, how large to make it, and who to take on board it; Pay attention now;
God told him to take male and female of every species of animal on earth. God told Noah to take his family (not 1billion people on earth) Noah's family was all that was taken on the ark, other than the animals!!
If you believe in God, you wouldn't doubt what the entire BIBLE says. You have to believe all of God's words, or none.

WONDERFUL question! It happens that i´m an atheist, but i deeply respect your beliefs. Our own beliefs are, and should be, a matter of spirituality, of self consciousness. Religions are big great political powerful institutions because they dominate this world by spreading false fears and promising false rewards. I think religions mostly kill the human being´s self awareness, his curiosity and under those conditions, it is very hard to develop your spirituality. They need un-intelligent masses of working force,...what would they do if they lose the mass´s minds? How would they control people? I think that, no matter if your beliefs are right or wrong, what you are doing with them is just right! Believing is not the same as being uncritical.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we had a world where everybody said,
'We don't know?'
The fact is that you're surrounded by God and you don't see God,
Because you KNOW ABOUT God.
The final barrier to the vision of God is your God concept.
You miss God because you think you know.
The highest knowledge of God is to know God as unknowable.
All revelations, however divine,
Are never any more than a finger pointing at the moon.
As we say in the East, 'When the sage points to the moon,
All the idiot sees is the finger'.

I understand that it gets confusing at times but try not too over think too much. If you believe in 1 God wonderful but remember the Bible stories were passed down. (Also there wasn't even a billion people in existence yet.)
