Israel’s army would be powerful

Bible passage: Leviticus 26:3, 7-8
Written: perhaps around 1400 BC
Fulfilled: 1948-49, 1967, etc.
In Leviticus 26:3, 7-8, the Bible says that the army of Israel would have a supernatural power to prevail during times of conflict, if the people are obedient to the Lord. This Bible passage says that 5 people would be able to chase away 100 people, and that 100 would be able to chase away 10,000. Is there any proof to this incredible claim? Judge for yourself:

Example 1: Within hours of Israel's declaration of independence in 1948, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon invaded Israel. The combined population of those countries was at least 20 million at that time. Israel had fewer than 1 million Jews. Even so, the Jews won the war and expanded the size of Israel by 50 percent.

Example 2: During the War of 1967, Israel attacked the air force bases of the surrounding countries and took control of Jerusalem for the first time in about 2000 years. They also seized additional territory. That war lasted a mere 6 days.

Example 3: On Oct. 6, 1973, Israel was attacked by Egypt and Syria. Other countries later joined the attack. But the Jews were able to push back the attacking armies and occupy land outside of Israel's borders.

Leviticus 26:3, 7-8
"If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, … You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you."

Gee, and if it weren't for modern weaponry supplied by others, the Jews would have won nothing.

Funny how none of these "prophecies" gives a date, a specific location, etc. Funny how these same Jews were the survivors of a mass execution that murdered six million of them - why couldn't their "supernatural power" have kicked in BEFORE all the suffering in camps, gas chambers, etc.?

Because prophecy is BS, that's why.

Why would the time for Israel (which had already been exiled, hence the larger number) not overlap at all with the time for Judah? At any rate, all this shows is that if you take an unfulfilled prophecy and multiply it by the right number, you can make the inconvenient evidence fit the prediction. Since Lord Balfour, who was involved in designating Palestine as a Jewish homeland, was a dispensationalist Christian who was consciously trying to bring about the fulfillment of prophecy as he understood it, this doesn't really prove anything anyway. But nice try.

The Jews are tough because they have to fight for their very survival. They are badasz.

The bible is a man mad book. God is above the written word. Anyone who puts a rule book in a book in not god. They are trying to control mankind. It is a nice moral compas if one needs such a thing.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God. The bible is a book recording this Word.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made

So god's playing favorites again? What an ASSHOLE!

Should he not protect all of his creation instead of fulfilling some empty prophecy? I'm sure he could think of a less violent way to prove his existence, don't you?

The Bible is the product of man and man only. God had nothing at all to do with it. If there was any inspiration, it was brought on by their desire to control others.

Absolutly not. The Bible is the word of God and any thing is possible through God. Think about the creation of earth and man how simple is all else?

I believe the Bible 100%

It's what helped me change my life. Some of the contents scare me, but it has seemed to help me a lot, especially Revelation.

We live in the last days and the Bible is not only the word of God but a living word. Each moment we live in is a fulfillment of his word.
