I'll give you a big cigar if you can guess who I am describing

Who is this man?

He...
-is God made flesh, the savior and 'Son of God'
-His father is God and his mother is a mortal human virgin
-is born in a cave or humble cowshed on 25 December before three shepherds
-offers his followers the chance to be born again through baptism
-miraculously turns water into wine at a marriage ceremony
-rides triumphantly into town on a donkey while people wave palm leaves to honor him
-dies on Easter as a sacrifice for the sins of the world
-After his death he descends to hell, then on the third day he rises from the dead and ascends to heaven in glory
-His followers await his return as the judge during the Last Days
-His death and resurrection are celebrated by a ritual meal of bread and wine which symbolize his body and blood for holy communion with god
- Is depicted in ancient art works with a bright, usually golden halo around his head, often in his mothers arms.

This SHOULD be easy. is it?

The one and only Jesus of Nazareth. The Messiah chosen to save all mankind from their sins.

Except for the fact that there were probably more than three shepherds, and the fact that Jesus wasn't born on December 25th, that COULD be describing Jesus.

Sounds like a combination of several, actually. Mithras, perhaps. Not Horus, though, he wasn't born to a virgin (his father was Osiris, his mother was Isis), nor did he rise from the dead after three days. Instead, he was daily resurrected, after being conquered every night by Set.

Close, but no cigar?

And only Jesus used Communion.

Well, it couldn't be Jesus because it's all but impossible that he was born on December 25. And if you're going to say it's someone else, I'll give you a cigar if you can prove such statements apply to that person by quoting the original sources that can be shown to pre-date the New Testament.
