Since it's instant messaging, you might have come across as not into terms of really speaking with him. (You didn't really wanna tell him and of course you couldn't.) You should apologize and tell him you were thinking of something that you really can't tell him. Maybe he'll understand and say it's okay. Or, you can be brave and tell him the truth. :) I don't think he will get offended knowing that you were thinking about him. In fact, he should be happy that someone is thinking about him. Of course, be prepared to answer if he asks you what you're about him that you're thinking of.

You would have gotten better results if you at least hinted at your true thoughts. I'm a firm believer in the value of holding back some information to pique interest and preserve an air of mystery, but you run the risk of appearing completely disinterested when you say "nothing" at all. Attraction is a game of sorts...make you moves count, because each action (or non-action) creates definite consequences (or reactions).

nah i think you kinda made him feel put off cuz you wouldnt tell him. He probably thinks you dont trust him... do you liek him? if so and you think he likes you back you should have told him the truth. if yur not so sure you could have either
1. lied. im is a great place for bad liers seeing as the other person cant see your face (=
2. asked him what HE was thinking, therefore changing the subject or causing unintentiional flirting
jsut in case this happens again...

He was probably a little ticked off because you weren't being honest with him. It shows that you may not trust him. It would have probably made him really happy to know that you were thinking about him. Don't play games, just be honest.

Let him go. If he can't handle that your thoughts might be private, why waste any more time?
