As most things in life, religion is a matter of perception. We cannot control the circumstances we are born in. We are simply born in a culture, religion and identity that we didn't get to choose. We are presented with one side of life and we're only exposed to it, therefore we don't question it and we automatically assume it is the only side.

If people were more exposed to religious or environmental diversity, maybe identity would be more of a choice than a pre-established decision. But we can't choose our origins. our origins throw us into one point of life. Unless that point of life allows us to see other horizons, we can't even become aware of their existence.

The idea is to get in contact with that inner ability to ascend to higher understanding. It it doesn't do that then you ought to consider your situation. If it helps you better your life and or gets you closer to the place you want to be then you are right. If it teaches you to stand on your own two feet and take responsibility for your actions you may be close. There is no such thing as a true religion against others that may or may not be of the same effect and so forth. It is what you get and give that make it the religion for you. All paths lead to the same place. I'm a born again backsliding christian. My religion is one of resignation in view of the impossibility to do all those things I mentioned. Mine is a hypocrites religion in that I say and do so many contradicting things all the time and not all so sincere or nice or even christian at that.

The one true test of any religion is its ministry. The ministry is the foundation of the religion. If the ministry is going according to Jesus teachings, chances are it is the right one. Jesus taught his apostles to go two by two, leaving all they have, traveling amongst the people, not having a salary, "freely you have received, freely you shall give". There is no need for a "church building" as the church is really the people. Any community center, lion's club hall, school cafeteria where large groups can meet is good enough. However Jesus worshipped God in homes, and there is a belief today that does all that. It is very personal and close to the heart of those who follow Jesus teachings. Read the King James version of the bible...pray with an honest heart to find the true way and God will lead you to those who can help you. For those of you who say Jesus teachings about the ministry are outdated...then you have just limited the power of God and called him a short term thinker.

Well I never assumed my religion is better or more right than any other religions because as you said we don't know all of them. The Baha'i Faith(my religion) has always teached me about how important is to learn and study about other religions and work with other religious groups. We can't just treat religions as if it were political parties trying to argue who's right and who's wrong or which is better and which is not,I think religious people can set a great example if they decide to work together in unity and harmony rather than in competition.

Whether the message of truth was given in the Orient by the Buddha, the Middle East by Mohammed, to the ancient Greeks by Socrates or to the arrogant Jews by a young man, it was the same. This Jewish man, who owned nothing, and was killed because he spoke against the religion to which he and his family belonged, taught the very same message: in order to realize peace and happiness, We must do unto others what we would want them to do unto us--nothing more nothing less. pg 233

Religion is never right because it is man made and destined to fail. There is no true religion or any religion that will get you to Heaven. If you accept Jesus Christ and that he died for your sins then you can go to Heaven. It is so simple, however people have gone to many extremes to try and justify themselves through going to church or living a certain way. The Bible says Jesus did it all and all we must do is accept him as our savior. Religion is never the answer.

If your religion leads U into relationship with Jesus Christ. If it leads U through a list of do's and don'ts that distracts U for years then it was invented by men, distorted by satan, and will do U very little good.
