It is just a sign of affection. I have a cat that sucked on my ear till she was over a year old and now she does the head butting thing and nibbles on my chin. Just her way of saying "I LOVE YOU"...

Cats head-bonking are signs of affection and a way of marking. When a kitty bonks something, she is also getting scent molecules from that object. When she licks or nibbles your face, it's a sign of affection.

Or she may like the cleanser you use to clean your face.

Pretty much what CAT says, it is a sign of territorial behavior and affection. You can tap her on the nose lightly and then pet her. This will teach her to go for your hand instead of your face.

it's a form of communication
a headbutt is a sign of greeting, the cat's sent glands are on it's cheeks and is naming you it's property. the reason why you're cat is nibbling you is because it is ether grooming you and thinks you have matted hair or is just being cute.
