Not born here, not American, doesn't have Citizenship here, came here across the hills, doesn't have the correct papers to be here, someone you support financially because they don't have the right papers to get a real job.
Those who cause our schools and our children to have to listen to instructions in two or more languages because of those illegals.
Those are just a few.

Looking deeper into the question, your true question as I see it. Why is it a legal naturalized citizen can get a DUI and kill 2 people in the process and he goes to jail? Directly to jail and never gets to pass go again. But an illegal immigrant can illegally drink and be DUI, crash his vehicle, kill 2 people and yet not be arrested and convicted.(meaning he was a legal illegal immigrant)? Is this the problem? Next time just ask why is it that illegal immigrants are coming over here and committing serious big time "FELONIES" and not only walking away from the crime, they get to walk away and stay in the USA still not being a Legal Resident and have a chance to do it again? That is the real question. Kinda hacks everyone off doesn't it. I mean this is way beyond the oh they are taking jobs away, or they are not paying taxes. etc etc etc. They are getting away with serious crimes and being allowed to do it again and not suffer any consequences. Sorry about the long answer.

Basically, it means to do that which is thought of as unlawful. In terms of immigrants, it means to enter a country without the guidance of law. Most countries attempt to keep track of anyone entering its borders for a number of reasons. I believe that most people that enter the United States illegally do it in order to work, however, that doesn't make it right. Wrong is wrong no matter how you slice it. I'm not saying that the government makes easy to become a legal member of society or to obtain a work visa but for ones own honor I would think it would be worth the effort.

Depends on who you ask; if you ask a conservative the meaning of illegal is something against the law and an illegal immigrant is a person here against the law of our land.
If you ask a liberal its quite different, for unless they are talking about a conservative illegal means a questionable action and an illegal alien is a disenfranchised future voter.

When an immigrant is said to be illegal, that means this person has snuck into another country and is living incognito so as not to be deported. Is it illegal? Yes it is and the illegal immigrant is a criminal.

Definitely! If you are an illegal immigrant, then you must have entered and stayed in the USA illegally; which means that you can be arrested and deported anytime.

An illegal immigrant is someone who's living off our tax money without paying taxes themselves. They are selfish bastards. The US is spending billions on these people that are jumping the borders when that money could be going to social security or helping our homeless citizens. They steal peoples identity and social security numbers so they can live here and ruin other peoples lives that are here legally.

Illegal means against the law. If someone came here from another country and did not follow the proper procedures to get here, he/she is an illegal and should go home.
