I suggest Aloe Vera, as everyone else has.
You may wish to put it in the fridge, so that it is cooling upon application.
Stay as cool as possible, do not take hot showers.
Also, I recommend you get as much sleep as possible...
I've had some severe sunburns, and with the more sleep I get that night, the less of it remains in the morning.
You may consider taking some aspirin as well.

I was at the beach 2 days ago and got a wicked burn aswell.
I plastered baby lotion on my face, sholders and neck and 2 days later, no more burn, just a nice tan. I've been doing this every time I sit down at the computer for the past 2 days.
I also have used this aloe and vitamin e gel for babies that I feel works pretty well. I use it after I get in from the sun.

Aloe gel is the best thing for a sunburn. If you can't get any right now, any lotion with aloe vera as an ingredient will be better than nothing. Don't wash with hot or warm water, only let cool water touch your face.

Aloe vera! If you have the natural plant even better, but if not try you local grocery or supermarket for some aloe vera gel, it takes away the redness and put moisture back into you skin so you wont peel!
Good Luck!

Okay, I have had a lot of experience with unpleasant accidental sunburns. I have found the wonder tonic. There is a brand called Hemps that has lotions and balms. I just recently found they have a Sunburn Relief Gel. It has aloe and hemp seed as well as other good soothing ingredients. It's all natural and is good for sensitive skin. It works wonders if you can find it. Good luck!!

For now, keep your face moist and ice packs with a fan!
Don't use lotions. Keep it wet...Pure ALO (best is to peel the plant leave itself) would really help a new burn quickly!
Not that green stuff.. too much crap in those!

aloe vera gel. and aloe vera face fash.
tee tree oil is really good as well.
scrub your face REALLY REALLY lightly to get all the dead skin off your face which won't make your face look so red.
