And by the way, I may not be able to afford a dog, but i work at a vets office and would get care for my dog for free, and i can afford food and everything. thank you

Yes, i work at a vets office. I have a 2 year old dog that i got for free and two cats from a rescue shelter. I would love to adopt a dog, but the shelters near my home charge between $100 and $200 and i am on a student budget.

Look in your local paper's classifieds section. Or, visit the Michigan SPCA. They aren't free, but you would be saving a dog's life. Also, pet stores and vets often have ads hanging up- you could check there. But, please consider adoption.

You work at a vet's office ??.. You better than most people here should know where free puppies come from and what sort of background they have .. what kind of problems the are likely to have.. You more than anyone here should know the importance of a well bred dog, or at least saving one from the shelter..
I don't believe you work in a vet office..

why do you want it? Check your local shelter, I am sure they have tons, though not free. you may have to pay an adoption fee that covers the animals spay/neuter and vaccinations, usually around $50-100. That is usually a discount over what a vet would charge you. if you're not willing to pay an adoption fee, I would reconsider getting a dog as the dog will cost you at least this much and probably more per year.

SPCA-it won't be free,but it would save a dog's life.
Check the pet ads in your newspaper.
Check around with your friends.
www.petfinder.com
Techniclly, there is no such thing as a free puppy(i.e. bedding, food, toys, bowls)
Think about getting an adult dog. They are a lot less rowdy and you'll already know how big they'll get.I have raised 3 litters of puppies, and I would take an adult dog ANY day.
Hope this helps!!!!

You can look for free mutts in the paper or you can try like wal-mart or lowes' parking lot. They usually go there to give away puppies. Good luck.
