I'm looking for a place to visit in the U.S. for a singles vacation during the first week of October. Any ideas?

You should visit each state Travel Board.
For example go to Google to put the word of a US state in the search engine and the put the word And "Tourist board"
to get an answer. Or just visit United States Tourist board:

I would suggest New York, you can't go wrong with all the bars and the nightlife. Perfect for singles :) Plus, a lot of museums and other tourist destinations.

For a "singles" vacation, I would recommend Las Vegas.

Seattle Washington....I went there not too long ago and it was lots of fun...In November I am going to New Orleans and that should be tons of fun too!

SOUTH BEACH!!! theres tons of night clubs and a great singles scene ..... nice sunny beach and everything
