I think they beat having a hole in your tooth that will keep it rotting away. Go for the filling. With modern high speed drills the drilling doesn't hurt much and the results are a pleasure.

There are basically 2 types - a white filling material called composite and a silver filling material called amalgam. Most commonly the composite material is used in the front teeth and the amalgam in the back. If you are concerned with asthetics you can likely have the composite fillings in the back teeth but typically insurance will only cover the cost of the amalgam so you will have to pay the difference. Any filling will need to be replaced over your lifetime....

What about tooth fillings? They don't hurt. I just got one.

well they dont use drills they have lasers now. they arent medal they can be differnt colors like pink and lime green...or a natural tooth color they dont hurt and they dont take very long
