I told my friends at the end of the school year that I liked this boy and by now it has spread like wild fire. What should I tell him when I see him, he is bound to know by now. We are great friends, but I don't think he likes me like I like him. So what should I say when he approaches me and brings it up? I don't want our friendship to get ruined!

i would tell him the truth and see how his body language is and how he responds and if he responds like he feels weird about it quickly tell him "oh don't worry, i know we r just friends" and smile and then walk away. this way he knows u like him but he doesn't feel pressured. then if he realizes he does like u then he won't have to wonder. and if he doesn't just make things as normal as they were before hand. talk to him the same way and don't seem too much up his butt for a while if he doesn't feel the same way. this way he will be like well she likes me but she isn't obsessed and if u don't birng it up again, he will finally just act normal again.

If you told your "friends" about you liking this boy and it has spead like wild fire, then you might want to rethink your friendships.
As far as facing the music should this guy approach you, just be honest with him. Tell him you value his friendship and suggest maybe the two of you hanging out a little more.
If he's open to this, see where that leads but don't force a relationship at the expense of losing the friendship.
By the way, you might want to approach him before he approaches you and apologize for the rumor getting started. He'd appreciate this.

Just tell him the truth, and go from there. That's how my fiance and I started out. We grew up together and now we're getting married in Oct. Take a chance, you never know. That may be your future husband!

well you should tell him the truth! even though it may be hard telling the truth is always the right deciesion. Be like if you just want to stay friends that is cool but I just wanted you to know that I like you and wonder if you feel the same way.

just be like"yea i kinda had a small crush on u then" just ame it sound like its no big, that way u'll sound cool and not all nervous, and it'll probably make him think about you

Just tell him! even if he doesn't like you that way it may make him think about it, it may turn out later that he will like you that way later.

if he asks you in a really nervous way tell him its true and if he tells you like joking say that he shouldnt believe everything he hears!!
