Fail or get like a 70

ok thx for the answers so far.

there is a reason why i quit going to college. i was sick of spending money and wanted to make money. I can't stand doing nothing but reading out of a book and studying. I think I'm a fairly intelligent person, but when it comes to sitting still and reading out of a book....you can forget about it.

If you fail, then you will have to take a retest.

And your NCOIC will probally mandate study time for you.

If you fail again.

Your squadron commander can:

1. waive your CDC score.
2. administratively separate you from the AF
3. recommend that you be reclassed into a different AFSC

Being reclassed would mean you would be changed to a AFSC that had no Tech School ( there are about 5 or 6 of those in thr AF )

And they aren't what you would call nice jobs.

If you fail, you will be expected to re-test. Your supervisor should set up mandatory study and review periods as part of your duty day to help make sure you pass on the next go round. If you fail again, you can be discharged or receive a letter of reprimand and one more shot at the test. After a second failure, you can be put on quarters during any off time and ordered to study so many hours a day. Do yourself a huge favor and just focus as best you can. It is in your best interest to pass if you plan to stay in the military.

Tim, check with your leadership and see if there are any reading/test taking classes being offered. At our last base I worked with our Adult Learning Center in town and we taught classes on base for those who were having problems with their CDC's. We worked on reading ability, test taking, and study skills. The class was free of charge (paid for by TA) and most folks that went through it went on to pass the next time.
We also had a few guys who we were able to get additional help for due to learning disabilities and dyslexia.
If you squadron doesn't know, check with the education office and your Airman and Family Readiness Center (formerly Family Support). They should be able to point you in the right direction. Even if there is nothing on base, there might be something available in town. Also, our students were given the time off from work to attend classes... it was not a punishment.
Good luck!! And don't give up.... hubby is dyslexic and hates to read. But, he is testing for Chief in 2 months... it can be done!!

If you fail you should be able to take it again. If you fail twice you will most likely be kicked out of the military unless you can some how get a waiver for it.

What jeeper_peeper321 said is the right answer, except you would have to go to another tech school. It would probably be a shitty job though.
