Well for male missionaries (elders) the dress code is: white shirt, dark slacks, and a tie (ties are not to be "loud")
For female missionaries (sisters) the dress code is long dresses or skirts and shirts. All modest of course.
As for the rest of the LDS community, we try to be modest in our dress. Long shorts, skirts and shirts with sleeves. However, there are members of the church who have never been to the temple, so they may feel ok wearing other types of clothing.
But, we don't wear bonnets or long dresses everywhere we go. In fact, I normally wear shorts or jeans, not a big dress or skirt fan.

If you are talking the missionaries, than they are always in what used to be called "church clothes." That is modest dresses for the young ladies and shirt and tie for the young men - the only Mormon missionaries I have seen have been young.
I have worked with mormon men and women and they dress just like the rest of us. Jeans and T-shirts on picnics and hikes. Business dress for the office. You won't see halter tops and unmodest dress on the woman any time; however I live in Alaska and there isn't much call to dress for warm weather anyway.

Black pants, white shirt, pocket protector, and frequently seen pushing or riding a bicycle. Often with a name badge that says Brother John etc. Well thats at least how most Mormons on their mission will dress whilst on the job here.

Like everyone else, but modestly.
The missionaries, however, have a strict dress code. The men wear black slacks and white shirts. The women wear modest, dark skirts and modest blouses. They all wear name tags. It's pretty easy to spot a missionary whether they are on their bikes or not.

Usually a white button down shirt and black dress pants with a cheesy cheap tie and they ride bicycle everywhere. Or that's how I have always seen them dressed.

We do not walk around half naked in public trying to show off our Private body parts just to cause lust in those who look upon us. We however do buy our clothes at the same stores and if you look across a crowd of people it isn't that you can pick out the Mormons, you can pick out who is not a Mormon.

When they are in neighborhoods they are always wearing black pants and a jacket with some black tie. The they usually have a name badge on that is black that goes into their shirt pocket. Oh and they are usually on bikes riding around like this. So that is kind of a give away as to who they are. :)

It was me, and I said the missionary's dress was a dead giveaway. They usually wear white shirts, slacks, a tie and a little black name tag. Kind of hard to confuse them for something other than an LDS missionary....

Yeah, modestly sums it up nicely. If you are talking about Mormon missionaries then, yeah the name tags are a biggie and the fact they are friendly and if you need a service done....they are really friendly!
