The above answers just go to show that even when you explain exactly what a theory is, and why evolution is such a good one, the Creationists will still stick their fingers in their ears and yell "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

For those who claimed that science has somehow "proven evolution wrong", by all means present your evidence. Right here. Right now. I'd love to see it.

I've read it and it still matches what I knew about the word. A theory is not a fact. There have been many theories about the universe. One of them was that the world was flat and then there was the theory that the sun went around the earth. A theory just is not fact enough.

It is a theory. It will always be a theory. Do you think creation is JUST a theory? Are all theories wrong? Or are all theories correct? Should all theories be studied with an open mind? Or just one?

"A theory never becomes a law."

Thats because it is a THEORY. It CANT become a law, because it isnt proven. Nice play on words these people have here. They dont know what they are talking about. I am well-aware that evolution is NOT proven, call it what you want....

It doesn't even qualify as a theory. It is the best that "science" can come up with to explain creation without a Creator. True scientific theories are not based on assumptions, nor do they conflict with known scientific laws, such as the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

So it doesn't even qualify as a theory then. Thanks for pointing out that evilution doesn't qualify because there have been no observation. No one was around then to document and since Darwin no one has observed a human losing his tail, or any such nonsense.

A theory by any other name is............a theory. Dress it up any way you like. It remains a theory. One which has evidence to support it, but still a theory.
Does that disturb you?
It seems to .
