The other dogs are Lacey, Logger & Bullet and are 3 all much bigger than her. They are all about 80 lbs or more.

She is currently 35 lbs but I think she's not quite grown yet. (She just showed up a few days ago)

She looks like a border collie mix. But she's solid black.

She loves licking you & is very sweet. She's hyper but not too hyper (I think she will out grow her hyperness.) And she seems to be very smart.

We are going to try to find a home for her, but we want to call her something other than "little dog" in the meantime. And we may not find a home for her. We certainly aren't going to be dumping her off anywhere! The only reason we are considering giving her away is that 4 dogs is just too much for one house!

Don't name her anything that sounds too much like the names of the other dogs. That would just confuse them. So as nice as the name Lucy sounds, it would not be best.

And try not to pick a name thats too common in humans. It would be confusing for all if you name the dog Bonnie & someone named Bonnie comes to visit. "Are you talking to me or the dog?"

Girlie might be nice since she is likely to always be smaller than the others. I like Gypsy.

Lesley - It would be a lame excuse to dump the dog at the pound or shelter just because she already has 3 dogs. But she said she wasn't going to do that!

Wanting what's best for an animal sometimes means giving it to someone else. In this case she would be like a "foster parent."

Its a lame excuse to say 4 dogs is too much for one house. As long as you dont let the dogs have pups etc. then its fine. If you love her enough you wouldnt give her away, thats just a lame excuse man.

i think you should just leave the naming to what the owners want to call her. if that's not a good idea, try basing it on her personality and if you really can't think of one, i would suggest Midnight.
