What is the life expectancy for my generation (I'm 13.) I have heard that we can live past 100 if we take care of ourselves right, but I have also hear that we will be the first generation to not outlive our parents. What is the truth here? How long can I expect to live (on average, of course, I know that life is never certain.)

I don't do drugs (don't ever plan to, I think it's disgusting) and I'm talking about the U.S., sorry for not clearing that up.

I don't think anyone can answer this with accuracy. Chances are if you were genetically perfect and had clean air, clean food, no abuse, no wars and plenty of money, no stress, etc then you might live over 100. (bar getting hit by a bus)
BUT there are few guarantees in this world now. Who is making sure that the world food supply, air supply, water supply, is free of drugs, contaminants, pollution? That there will be enough food for society to survive. The world is a very different place than it was even 20 years ago. Survival depends on availability to life necessities.
I don't think anyone can predict.

If you are Ugandan then you can expect to live to be about 50 as a woman, 45 if you are a man. This is the world wide web! I'm sorry to sound rude, but so many questions seem to not even comtemplate civilised life outside the u.s.a (which I am presuming you are from...) You are talking to THE WORLD.
