There are a wide range of beliefs and opinions by all of the various Christian religions. Do you think this matters as long as the person professes to know Christ.
I'm not trying to push a belief here, I'm merely interested in people's ideas about this.

As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8),
but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12),
and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15).

Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

First of all, according to the Word of God, a person is not a Christian until they have already been saved? What does it mean to be saved? It means to confess and to repent of your sins, and to ask the Lord Jesus to come into your heart by faith; forgiving you for all of your sins, and washing you whiter than snow in the blood that He shed on the cross of Calvary. If a person has not done such, then they are no Christian at all. The Word of God tells us that if we confess our sins, then He (God) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) Any person can confess to know Christ, but no one can truly know Him, until their sins have been washed away, and Jesus comes to live in their heart. The devil knows Christ also, but he most certainly is not a Christian; nor will he ever be. Christianity is all based on what took place at the cross of Calvary; which can be read in the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 23.

I don't think that our Father in heaven wants to save just a few of His children, I'm sure that He wants us all to come back to Him some day. We all have our free agency and it is our choice whether to except His plan of salvation or reject it. It is my greatest desire to except it and I do know that Jesus Christ lives and that our Father in heaven loves us so very much. Try looking into a site called www.mormon.org
I know that you will find all of the answers that you are looking for if you are humble and have a desire to learn. The Holy Ghost bares the truth of all things and He will let you know that the things that you will be reading and learning about our Father in heaven and Jesus Christ are true...

The quality of faith which saves which the Bible speaks of is more than just that of a professing faith. True that professing is part of it, but more generally it is an application-oriented faith. In fact there are those who profess, but are not saved.

Mt 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

I am a Christian. I believe that as long as you believe that God sent his only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins and that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have enternal life, you are saved. I am really a baptist though. If you do something bad and ask for forgiveness from God, then He will forgive you. Nobody except Him is perfect. Nobody will be perfect. But, by reading the bible, you can be more like Him. You aren't going to be able to do everything right in your life. God is forgiving.

Mr Bad,
No, I do not believe so and the scriptures indicate that many who believe to know CHRIST will be lost (Matt 7:21-22). I would be glad to assist you in finding a study group if you are interested. Have a wonderful evening and a glorious week!
Thanks,
Eds

All real and genuine Christians will be saved.

Jesus tells us that everyone is not a Christian and that most won't be saved.

What you should do is read the Bible and see what Jesus has to say about it.

According to Mathew 7;23 only those Christians with a saving relationship will be saved.

Each of us must personally approach Jesus by faith and not through another (priest, etc.)

All saved Christians will be saved. A Christian is one that follows Christ. Others may call themselves Christian and do little to follow Him.
