Well, the saying "children learn what they live" says it all. They watch you and do what you do. Teach them right from wrong, be patient, loving and caring...when they get older, be understanding and open minded, that way they will be comfortable telling you anything and pray alot...thats the best you can do!

,The bible says "Train up a child in they way should go and when they are older they will not depart from you." I came from a very religious strict home and it made be rebel all throughout high school and college. But the things I was told to do were always in the back of my mind reminding me they were there. I now am a happily married mother of 2 and am so glad I had parents that loved me enough to raise me the right way. I know that because my parents stuck together on everything and worked so hard at setting examples for us that today I make sure to let my mom and dad know how much I love them and want my kids to love me this same way when they are at my age.

Good examples for them to follow. Do things you want your children to do. As as example, serve food in a soup kitchen. Take your kids to help. They will see you do good things and when they grow up they will want to make you proud of them by imitating you.
