I think it is the word of God through others, who could have changed it to make it more understandable to the people of the time, and now Christians in this day misread and misunderstand it a lot.

No certainly not! That is even a debate among bible scholars today. Many people think that the bible is a mixture of truth and error. That is called a Neo-Orthodox view of the bible.

Some names to look for would be; Clark Pinnock, Brian Macaroni, Rob Bell, Richard Foster, Paul Cho, Paul and Jan Crouch, and a cast of many more.

Without error? How did Noah get to the Amazon Rain Forest to gather many of the 1 million species of insects? Where did he keep them on board the Arc? People are becoming aware that the Bible is not the Word of God. The problem is admitting it.

No, I don't. There are too many blatant contradictions in the bible (lower case) to look on it as the word of a perfect being, as a god, if I could personally prove or believe in one, would have to be in order for me to recognize him/her/them as such.

I can't cite the contradictions, no, my late Husband, who was raised in the Jewish faith and attended religious school until his Bar Mitzvah, was the expert in that area, and I watched him take on oh too many opponents in the heat of religious debate on IRC channels over the years. They threw doctrine, he threw back the conflicting doctrine. Usually it degenerated into ad hominem attacks on him after the first time, which he simply didn't dignify with the same. One gentleman did try to tough it out with him once, though, only to leave politely after 10 minutes with the observation that the worst people to argue the veracity of the bible with with were atheists who could quote chapter and verse from the book itself.

How he remembered it all so clearly after so long, I don't know. He and I both hold ministries in the ULC, however, but it's not for our affiliations with any organized religion or deity, more to be a resource for others who don't believe in one. He was always called The Rev. Bless him, I wish that I had his knowledge. I only have his robes to marry others in.

I believe the Bible was given, without error, originally. But there may be some minor errors as languages are alive and changing. But the message of salvation is clear.

If you ask me, I would say that is a figure of speach. It is very true, but also very wrong. Depending of course, on your perspective.

Not any man can speak or write the word of God. It can only be explained with small pieces of wisdom and metaphors on which, if taken literally, can be used to do good or evil. I suggest instead of finding the truth within the words, paint a picture with them, and seek the truth within yourself.
