We all are "sons of god" or creators of our experience of reality. God is the multi-dimensional field of reality we are embedded in that is responsive to consciousness. Reality mirrors mind so we all are god-like creators.

Good verses, I couldn't begin to give you some doctrinal "slant" about what they "mean". There is certainly a connection as you have found the Old Testament verse Jesus was referring to. (They were giving Him a hard time about being or even insinuating that he was the Son of God. )(Such a claim -sad to say- even from one who was NOT an imposter was a capital offense.)
He not only tells us that when we shall see Him we shall be like Him, But he says that if a man receives Him, The Father an He will come and make their abode (dwelling) with him. Good verse for the feasibility of Jesus actually living IN someone's heart.
He even says that GREATER works than He did, you will do, and that's all true enough and supportable from the scripture, but if I were going to "pontificate" and "get on a soapbox" about something and really dig to make a bunch of connecting scriptures from the Bible, I think I'd just stick to the John 3:16 sort of verses, that we can be saved (Roman 10:9,10) and be born again (John Chapter 3) by believing in Him. That Salvation is by Grace--a free gift for the asking (Ephesians 2:8,9) by believing, not by your own "holiness" or trying to be good.
That'd be enough to keep me busy for a LONG TIME! 'n' probably some of these other more complex "incidentals" might fall into place along the way, in the bargain. What do YOU think?
ps. to Jack P, if you think the Bible's a list of rules (there ar some rules) you missed the most wonderful part.. That neither you nor I nor anyone YET EVER kept all the rules. So partaking of the rewards of paradise is NOT and CANNOT be contingent on anyone's keeping of the rules! Paul had tried really hard, he was a Pharisee, keeping the rules as strictly as you could be hoped to impose them on yourself, yet he said of all that life "I count it but DUNG!" (Phillipians 4:11) You know what "dung" is? well it's a very nice Elisabethan English way of saying it was "a load of crap!" Donkey pooh! He's saying, " all that holyness that I thought I was was just donkey pooh!" compared to the wonderful and real new life that Jesus had given him..FREE, without the "RULES" the law. Doesn't anyone know THAT? That's like the really basics.

(John 10:24) We're "gods" in the sense that Christ has given believers the ability to live in Holiness.
(John 17:21-22) Once again a call for Holiness. To become one as Jesus and the Father are one means to live according to how Christ taught us.
(Psalms 82:6) See reference to John 10:24.
(Luke 6:40) A teacher trains his students in what the teacher knows. Thus, the students become as the teacher is.

John 10:34 is a quote of Psalm 82:6.
It simply sates that the word 'god' can be applied in various ways.
The word 'god' means mighty one.
If you excel at a particular endeavor, then for that, you are a god of it ...a mighty one in that field of endeavor.
John 17:21 is a reference to unity.
Luke 6:40 simply states that it is enough that a student become like his teacher.

pLEASE DON'T THINK OF ME AS EVIL OR ANYTHING I AM A KIND HEARTED PERSON,bUT NEVER THE LESS...tELL ME IF THIS MAKES SENCE TO YOU..OK as i'm sure that you would agree that there are people in this world today that have almost superhuman thinking capabilities right...i mean people that are so smart and that can see something and know exactly how to fix it or know exactly whats wrong with it....well knowing that ,would you also agree that as a human being back say when the bible was writen or even befoe then, that the same type of people exsisted then in those time periods...well who's to say that maybe a really smart guy or woman ....saw that the worl was going down hill...i mean they could see that if things didn't change well then we were all in trouble....and they made the "Bible" which if you think about it is nothyinmg more then a list of rules to follow Heaven being a reward and Hell being a punishment for following or not followig the rules...I mean look at the book if a person was to follow evey rule in it ...would that person not be perfect?...and would never do wrong in any way?....Thats my opinon on it .....I COULD BE WRONG..

John 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me
Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.
Luk 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
The way I see it, Both John, and the writer of the psalms are telling us that we are Gods, that we are capable of making our own decisions, and being responsible for our own actions.
Luke however throws me off by saying everyon that is perfect shall be as his master
The book of Romans 3:10 says: As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one
The point I'm making here is the bible is contradictary, Righteous means;just or innocent:--free , according to Strongs Concordance.

John 10:34 & Psalms 82:6 - He referred to them as "gods" because they were civil magistrates, because of their power and authority over national matters. In some sort, they represented the divine majesty or God.
John 17 - Christ was speaking of His Church being unified in the faith, unified in it's believe in God and in Christ as savior.
Luke 6 - this passage refers back to the previous verse. Basically, you are only as good as your teacher. If your teacher is ignorant, so you will be. This is not referring to Christ or His relationship with us. We will be perfected when we reach Heaven, and be like Him, but never equal to Him in wisdom and power.
I realize all these are verses Mormons use to try show that we shall be gods, basically, their polytheistic beliefs, which is one reason they are not considered Christians.

This is God's word.God meanes what he says, but what do some people do in so-called
churches. They denie the Lord Jesus Christ,They denie the trinity.they even say that Peter started the church.another man
made religion. All that teach the things above are lies. They don't rightly devide the word of
truth.

Jhn 10:34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
What's to interpret? Jesus is asking them a question about a verse in the O.T. Trying to use it as proof that there are gods the same as God is taking it out of context.
Jhn 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Jhn 17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
Again, not talking about men becoming gods.
Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.
"gods", not "Gods". There's a difference. Psa 82:7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes. If the text was talking about true "Gods", they wouldn't die now would they? Why do people continually ignore the context of the verse they use to prove their point. :(
Luk 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
Yet again, not talking about men becoming gods. Learn how to study the Bible please.

Hi Truth seeking-sharing Brothers,
I am a Spirit of Truth Jesusonian Christian Theologian and Evangelist for over 30 years to date. You have selected some important Bible passages. I'll keep this short; email me for more.
John 10:34 refers to Psalm 82:6 and it is true that each and every human is made by our Sovereign Creator Son of God Jesus Christ (made in his Spirit Father-Son Image of God) to now be a Divinely Beloved son of God ! We are not Gods as the Paradise Trinity; but in Jesus we do have an eternal Glorious Paradise Destiny of being all perfected Sons of God (after about one trillion years of continual ascensions in the one billion plus ever higher Heavens)
John 17:21-22 (a part of Jesus' so-called "High Priestly Prayer" of tremendous import to us !!!) In Spirit all sincere God-believing humans (of all religions) are now "hid" in Jesus and are safely and surely perfecting in soul and mind each day here. Yes, the Father-Son Glory (Spirit Reality) that Jesus now has -- the fullness of God ! -- this is now given by Jesus and the Father of All Reality as a prepersonal Spirit fragment of God within you ! Jesus has taught:
"Do you not comprehend that God dwells within you, that He has become what you are that he may make you what He is !"
"Be you perfect, even as I AM perfect." Amen !
May 24, AD 1977 I was given the Sacred Vision of God and Jesus here as One Infinite Spirit ...much more .... Blaise Pascal, a great mind and scientist also was given this Sacred Vision when he was perusing in Spirit this John ch 17 Words of Jesus to us ... Many other have also.
Luke 6:40 (see Be you perfect above) We will be as our Master Jesus , our Creator Father-Son and Very Elder Brother, WHEN we are finally perfected and then operating in our domain. (small to start; much later we will be given many larger domains of loving service to all) "He who would be greatest, let him be the (perfect) server of all."
Peace and progress,
Brother Dave, a Jesusonian Christian

John 10:34 (KJV)
34 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
"god" uses a little "g". gods are humans.
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
To be one is similar when you are married with your spouse as one.
Psalms 82:6 (KJV)
6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.
Again, the little "g" is used for humans. It doesn't mean that we are God-like.
Luke 6:40 (KJV)
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
Right, you'll be as your master, similar but not the same.
I think that some religions use these verses to suggest that we will one day be Gods instead of gods.
