i just shaved my head and went to the beach where i got a really bad burn on my scalp. My head is now slightly swollen. I used aloe gel on my head and iced it which has slightly reduced the swelling overnight . If it is sun poisoning the only symptom i have is the swelling. So should i just use ice and wait it out? or should i see a doctor? In the meantime are there any other remedies or products i can buy to reduce the swelling?

ibupforen should take the edge off the pain and should also help with the inflammation

using white vinegar in the shower over your head will help take the sting out of the burn and may also help with the swelling

i have also heard benadryl recommended, but i don't really know why that would help...maybe with the inflammation?

feel better and where a hat next time!!!

Use Burts Bees After Sun Soother. This helps A LOT!

Just keep icing and icing, and it will eventually go away.
