If the rabbit showed no signs I wouldn't think you have a problem, but I would still take both to the vet to check it out. The rabbits blood could be analyzed.
Also if your dog has had its rabies shot it should be covered.
Good luck.

Rabies is transmitted through saliva not blood.

I'd be more worried about internal parasites, unless you froze the rabbit for a couple of weeks, which would kill these off.

Rabbits don't usually get rabies so it would be unlikely. Have your dog vaccinated to protect it against rabies and you will never have to worry again.

Your dog could only contract rabies if the rabbit had rabies.

rabbits are not likely to have rabies and if your dog is vaccinated as it should be(because it is the law) then your dog should be fine

Dogs get rabies thru the bite of the animal... It is transmitted thru the saliva. Like someone stated i would be worried more about parasite's and so on....

By your expert description of the rabbit, it was obviously a suicide.

I don't think so. The blood from a rabid animal must get into the blood of your dog, but it could get distemper. Make sure your dog gets it's distemper shot every year along with it's rabi shot.
