Kosher pickles has nothng to do with the Jewish religion. When Jews eat Kosher it is referring to their MEAT! Pickles are not meat. It is determined during the pickling process. What is added or done to the pickle during the pickling stages of the cucumber. A lot of the time, Polish pickles have more of a crunch to them over the Kosher. Kosher pickles seem to get "softer" quicker than Polish. They do taste the same. Also, Polish Pickles are not made in Poland, they are made in the USA.

Polish dills use more garlic, more dill and (often, but not always) pepper corns and other spices. These will be more peppery or spicy pickles. My personal favorite.
Kosher dills use a lot of garlic but not as much as polish. Kosher FLAVOR has nothing to do with religious dietary restrictions. If you are Jewish, look for the "K" seal. Otherwise, there are 2 styles: full- and half-sour. Half-sours are pulled from the brine earlier. They tend to be slightly crispier and fresher tasting. Full-sours are fermented fully and are, well, more sour and slightly darker.

l want a DILL pickle like my mama used to make. It is not salty, it is vinegary with stalks of dill pushed in among the pickles. I think mama stuffed the little pickles into the jar with the dill and then poured her hot vinegar mixture over them. They were a little sweet and very crisp. I don't like the ones that just taste like salt and garlic.

good ? Try calling a Kosher deli and ask them! I'm sure they cd and wdn't mind telling u.
But as far as the prep part, I'd imagine it may have something to do with what type of spices are used in the pickling process. The Kosher prep part is different than normal cooking.
