Ha-ha ha

Well, people who say this don't have a very good argument.

Their primary source: Bible verses that say "To the very ends of the earth", and "The corners of the earth".

NOWHERE in the Bible does it specifically say "The Earth is FLAT."

Nay, in fact if they're going to use "To the ends of the earth" as a moronic argument, then I'd might as well mount a moronic defense.

When the Bible speaks about spreading God's word, does it say spread it NORTH and SOUTH?

No, it specifically says EAST and WEST; this shows a basic grasp of the earth's shape; You can only go so far NORTH before you start heading SOUTH.

However, you can go WEST or EAST forever, and you will still be going in that direction.

And then there's this:

"He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. (From the NIV Bible, Isaiah 40:22)"

If some person is going to criticize the Bible because it says to the "Corners of the world", and they're going to interpret that LITERALLY...

Oh, wait, a circle doesn't have CORNERS.

AND THEN, look at your precious Columbus. Yeah, he SURE knew a lot about the world; in fact, he only underestimated the distance to India by about, ohh...

At LEAST nine thousand miles. Oh, and he also forgot the fact that there are two continents between them.

What is with all these people saying it does not say in the bible Jesus created the world. Are you guy not reading it?

John 1:10 reads, "He was in the world, and the world was made by him,
Come on people don't claim to be an athority on something you have not red.

As far as your question why is it exactly you think CC knew more about the world than Jesus?

John says toward the end of his Gospel that the things Jesus taught them couldn't be contained in all the books of the world. But much like a lot of prophets and apostles, they were banned from sharing that knowledge until the time is right.Daniel learned things and God said "Shut these things up now and go your way" also Paul went to heaven but wasn't allowed to speak about it.The Bible does teach us that" God created the earth and hung it upon nothing(Not Atlas like the Greeks thought)" and " It is God who sits above the circle of the earth".The Mid-Evil creeps were the ones who said it was flat, not God.

He didn't! Most of Columbus' major insights he got directly from the bible and Galileo. Galileo also got his major ideas from the bible.

Solomon, in the book of Ecclesiastes, revealed that the earth was round and that the air currents travel around it! Do you really think that the potter know more than the clay? Jesus and His Father knew exactly what they were doing. Everything that any and every man knows comes from God!

Jesus created the world? I never heard that one before.

In what way did Columbus "know more about it?" He thought he landed in India.

He was an evil man who promoted the killing of innocent people in my estimation.

Jesus DID NOT create the world!!!
GOD created the world.

The Vedas knew that the earth was round thousands of years before Columbus was born

too bad you don't know much. Jesus didn't create the world. God did. and if Columbus knew what he was doing he would have known that he didn't discover anything. Indians have lived in those islands for YEARS!!! he just wanted to dominate and passed diseases to those people. sold those people off as slaves, killed people, stole their land and food. you need a history lesson.
