When your dead your dead, what does it matter if you go to heaven or hell?

Your body is dead, however your spirit/soul goes on to another plane (for lack of better word). they say your spirit moves on to another life, born into another body and each time you are reborn you are in this world to learn a lesson. once all your lessons are learned here on this earth, no matter how many lifetimes it takes then and only then does the spirit move up to this "so called heaven" you are speaking about. it is also refered to you hell is here on earth and only when you have gotten to the higher level of life does one enter into the gates of heaven. so... even though the body is no longer working the part that makes us who we are is floating about waiting for the next world.
some people firmly believe if you are good you go to heaven and if you are bad you go to hell, but i personally dont know anyone who is perfect. soo.... we all cant go to hell....

If heaven and hell do exist there are both pro's and cons of both.

Heaven - It is supposed to be blissful, yet you are being ruled by God to commit to his every word...

Hell - You become tortured for eternity. However, it has a heirarchy based on strength. Which in turn, must mean there is a way to progress up the ranks ;)

Some have a belief that when you are dead, you are really not dead. You go to heaven or hell.

Well it depends....do you want to spend the rest of your life in Heaven...a beautiful place created for those who believe in God?...

Or go to a place where you will spend eternity, in pain and sorrow with no way out of your misery?.

My Mama didn't raise a fool....I want to go to the first one..and I have my preparations made...I got saved in 1980 and never looked back...If you want to come with me,,I will save you a rocking chair on the front porch of my Mansion in Glory... : )

When people die, usually they going to reincarnation....
If u are good guy, u will re-born into a wealthy family where u will enjoy all the good things.But if u are bad guy and die, u will re-born to be animal and suffer a lot.
Hell is for people that have sins more than u can tolerate.
Heaven is the temporary place for good people before they reincarnation.

That is not true. On January 7, 2007, My dog walked into the room and got on our bed and looked out the window and then looked at me and then towards the window and bent her head down. My dog acted like she was trying to tell me something. My daughter remarked " look at Duckey, wow!!, she is acting very strange." I never saw my dog act this way. Then she came up to me and put her head on my arm. I notice that something was not right. I stood up and open up my drawer to the dresser and immediately found an envelope. Inside this envelope was my birth certificate with my mother's name on the front (my father's name on the back) and two of her beautiful pictures. I saw the front part and looked at it and thought it strange that I pulled it out of the drawer. A minute later, the phone rings and my husband said it is your brother. Your mom just died. She was in Philadelphia, PA and I am in Ohio. I started to scream and cry. I last saw my mother in October and she told me she was going to die, but I kept telling her no I did not want her to die. I kept telling my mother I loved her. She was 87 and died of cancer in the hospital. She never complained. She is a great saint. She is with God in heaven and she came to see us immediately after she died. How do I know this? I believe it and check this out. My 13 year old daughter had an unsual experience while I was crying. She experienced a vision and saw my mom wake up in heaven and Jesus/God was there. He had long white-blonde hair.. There were other figures also. Mom was sitting next to the Lord. My daughter said my mom was younger and very beautiful. The Lord told my mother that she had suffered alot. My mom was not rich or greedy. She was a very humble person. She taught me about God and she really had faith. Then the Lord pointed to a small group of people, and told my mom to look over there and there was her family. (My daughter was telling me this while sitting next to me. This was all on that Sunday morning. ) Among the group was a young girl with long white hair, and crystal eyes. My 13 year old had no way of knowing this, but the young girl who was about twelve was one of my mother's sisters who died in the 1920's. It could only be her because my mother was her playmate. My mother always talked about her. She said the beings looked beautiful and they were all perfect. There were also two woman and one was in a chair. There was one man with golden hair. When we pass on, God gives us spiritual bodies. There was also a beautiful being who part of a cross. This was a great comfort to me since I feel blessed that God showed me this through my daughter. I have also had certain experiences with my mother and I think faith and a gift like this is in my family. If you know a good person in your family keep in touch with them. Respect everyone and do good. Ask God to forgive you for your sins. I am a Christian and I believe that if you ask God he will tell you the truth. I had to do homework tonight -getting my master's degree. I believe you and others need to hear this.

I guess it only matters if you go to hell. Who wants to be tormented for eternity? ...but I don't believe in that either. I just want to enjoy living right now.

It doesn't matter. UNLESS there is some form of consciousness in the afterlife. I wouldn't waste my present life worrying about it. There is no proof pro or con.

it does not matter but religious believers want you to think so, so you can have a purpose of some sort wile your on earth.
but isn't this earth kinda hellish?? maybe when we dye we are in heaven???
