hi im trying to find the hangouts of nj/ny sports teams... my best friend is a sports fanatic and i wanted to take her to a place where she may just run into some players so she can have something to brag about when she returns to guam. any regular places they might hang...i personally dont do clubs n stuff so i have no idea thanks!

A few of the Knicks and Rangers used to hang out at a bar on 8th Avenue near 32nd street, across the street from Madison Square Garden. I don't know if they still do, but I've heard a few of the players could to nearby bars after games.

I saw Tino Martinez and Scott Brosius (back in 1996) walking in Times Square.
My friend also saw David Wright walking in Central Park last summer. Your best bet is to stake a place out somewhere in a common area (South area of Central Park), Times Square, ESPN Zone (another friend from VA came up a few weeks ago, without me, and went into the ESPN Zone and claims to have seen Derek Jeter, I doubt it though as that the Yankees were on the West Coast at the time, but whatever) and just look around. Its hard to say if, where, and when you'll see them.

We saw a couple Yankees at Mickey Mantle's restaurant at the lower end of Central Park.

They really dont hang in the area that much....or at least not in clubs that you can get into
