I am buying a house that has 2 small bedrooms both 12 x 10 side to side.I would like to cut an opening in the wall between the 2 about 7 feet wide and your standard door height tall and frame it out so my son can have a bed area and playroom area .I am pretty sure it is not a load bearing wall.Any idea approximately how much that would cost?

Not likely a load bearing wall.
Cut as an arc at the top. It will have to be framed since the studs will be partially cut away.

Find a handy man, maybe a retired carpenter. That's not very difficult.
You may run into electrical which will have to be moved. Anyone handy with a few tools can do this.
