I am thinking about feeding my 3 month old Siberian Husky Purina Puppy Chow, Iams, and Science Diet together. Is this a good idea to do this or if not can I mix 2 kind? I need a good answer.

You can, but why not try mixing high quality foods, the three listed are far from quality.

Nothing you find at a grocery store is going to be a good food. High quality foods can be found at large pet store chains, or online. A couple of foods I like are Solid Gold, Innova, and Cannidae.

There are other high quality dog foods. Here's how to spot them:

A high quality food will have little or no fillers such as corn, wheat or soy. These aren't very digestable for dogs, and are common food related allergens. Since you were seeing corn meal in the first few ingredients, those are not high quality foods. Foods list ingredients by content, with the ingredient it contains most of at the top.

A high quality food will not contain BHT, BHA or Ethoxyquin, these are all chemical preservatives that have been linked to cancer.

A high quality food will not contain by-products of any kind. Meat meals are ok as long as the source of the meat is listed, such as Chicken Meal.

A high quality diet should have meat as at least the first ingredient., and be made from human grade ingredients. Foods that don't use human grade ingredients often get their ingredients from less than desirable sources, such as meat from animals that were diseased, or euthanized.

There is another diet option other than dog food. Some people choose to feed a raw diet. This involves feeding the dog raw meaty bones and organ meat. However it is not as simple as throwing a couple chicken bones in a bowl everyday. If you wish to feed this type of diet, do lots and lots of research first. Switching to this diet without knowing what your doing can lead to nutritional problems for your dog. I'll give you some links as a starting point in research if you are interested in this type of diet.

Why do you want to feed it 3 different foods? Just pick one and that's fine. They are all good. Just make sure which ever one you pick is a puppy chow. Then at about 8 months old or so, switch to an adult food.

Why would you want to do this? Just feed your dog one good quality dog food. Science diet is horrible. Iams is probably the best of the 3 that you listed. Just feed the Iams. Feeding more than one may upset your dog's stomach.

Mixing puppy foods is not a good idea. Depending on how sensitive your dog is, it can cause diarrhea. It is better to stick with one food, and if the pup doesn't like that brand, slowly switch to another, by mixing half and half for about a week.
Since you do have a large breed puppy, make sure you feed it a puppy food designed for large breeds. Their bones need to carry more weight, so they need the extra nutrients.
Hope this helps.

There's no need to feed your pup three kinds of food. Iams or Science Diet are good foods. Pick one and stick with it until about 8 months of age. You can then slowly wean her over to adult food.

No I definitely wouldn't be doing this. Science diet is the best one to be feeding to her/him, it has lots of nutritional value to it for your dog. If your dog doesn't want to eat just one type and that's why you're mixing it, you can get some wet food and mix it in with the dry food - its also science diet and its called entree chicken or beef. Definitely phase out this 3in1 food and slowly make it into just Science Diet. IAMS is also a good brand, but vets usually recommend Science Diet. hope this helps

no no no! Mixing dog food is really bad for a puppy. I have an alsakan malamute & a siberian husky and i HIGHLY reccommen Purina Pro Plan for Large Breed (puppy formula). Its kinda pricey ( not too too bad though) and it is really good on the snow dog's stomach! You can buy it at Petsmart!
Hope this helps!!!
Aren't siberians beautiful!!!!???

I think its a really bad idea. Stick to one food and then your dog will be fine.
Think if you do the 3 food you have to buy 3 different kids of food and you will go broke!
Plus your pup may get sick and you won't know which food is causing it.
