Take a look at what is going on in the world right now, that is the spirit of this world with Satan as a element of it all. Murder,rape,lust,Adultery,fornication... It is a pleasing of the flesh and the spirit of the devil.

The "world" is a way of referring to the thoughts and opinions of man, not to the way God would have us think or act. This is when you lose track of spiritual goals and exhaltation. These are worldly desires, worldly actions, worldly ambitions. Jesus stated that His kingdom is not of this world... that is what He means.

The spirit of the world is all the "Fleshly " deeds.All the traits we inherited from Adam and Eve.Satan is the ruler of this world until Jesus returns but,we have enough inherited evil in us ,we don't need his help.(Satan that is)
