I'm considering doing liposuction. I know, it's kind of "cheating" to losing weight, but I'm at a point, I'm so self-concious, that I don't even want to leave the house to work out. I grew up living out in the country, and now I live in a crouded neighborhood, I'm not comfortable to even walk, let alone jog around.

Anyways, back to the subject, what all do I need to know? What kind of price would I belooking at? I definately wouldn't be doing anythng local, I live in Georgia, so I would go to either Atlanta or somewhere in Florida probably.

I'm about 6'0, male, 19 years old, no real health problems except the obesity thing, I weigh about 260 lbs.

Liposuction surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

You should determine if you are a candidate for liposuction. You should be in good health and free of any diseases or conditions that would hinder your recovery. To be a good candidate you should have elastic skin to heal properly and to shrink to fit your form.

You should also know the details of the liposuction procedure to help you ask the right questions about it (with your doctor) but to also help you feel a little more familiar and comfortable with that will happen to your body. The surgical procedure phase begins after the anesthesia is administered. At this time, the surgeon will make small incisions where the cannula will be inserted and start the process of liposuction. After the liposuction is done, the incisions are closed. A dressing is then applied to protect the wounds, keep the tissue securely in place and reduce swelling. Some surgeons choose to leave the incisions open to allow excess fluids to drain.

You can find out more information about Liposuction, and Male Liposuctions by referring to each site respectively: http://www.newimage.com/cosmetic-plastic-surgery/arms-legs-thighs-buttocks-hips/liposuction-overview.aspx, http://www.newimage.com/cosmetic-plastic-surgery/male-plastic-surgery/liposuction-overview.aspx. These sites should answer all your questions as well as connect you with doctors in your area!

As you can imagine the cost will vary based on several factors, your doctors reputation, where you have it done (both the facility and the actual state are factors), the anesthesia etc.

well because your young...well your older then me but working out would be a really great way to lose the weight..if you just put your mind to it in a couple of months you can lose the weight no problem...start by eating three healthy sized meals a day...drink lots of water...if your not into running then try walking a mile or two each day and once you get better at it you can start to walk more then jog and then go for runs..cardio is the best way to burn calories..and burning calories will burn inches around the waist and althou lypo sounds great ...you will FEEL great after working out..not only the physical feelings but you will feel mentally good by knowing that you did the word and the results came from you

Liposuction cost about $2000 per area(the back is one area, both arms are one area, both thighs are one area, etc) and it won't make you lose too much weight unless you get total body lipo which can cost up to $12000.

But you could always get your procedure financed and make monthly payments on it.

It's not really too too dangerous like people think, but the bad apart about is you can gain the weight back after the surgery if you don't change your eating habits and exercise patterns and it'll end up going to other areas causing new problem areas.

Liposuction is VERY dangerous.. your body can get infected. ou can get any of these:
Abnormal body contour
Anesthesia reaction
Bleeding
Burning
Death (approximately 1 in 10,000)
Depression (mild depression is normally following elective surgery)
Dimples
Discoloration
DVT (Blood Clot)
Fat Embolus (less than 0.1%)
Heart Failure
Hematoma
Hypothermia
Infection
Keloid (heavy scar)
Nerve damage
Perforation of bowel or abdominal wall
Permanent numbness (risk is less than 1%)
Puckers
Reactions to medications
Seroma (fluid collection under skin)
Shock
Skin irregularities
Skin death (necrosis)
Slow healing
Swelling
Tingling
Visible scar

Do you really want to take that risk and suffer? You can die from it also..
Just try eating less.. eat atleast HALF of what you usually eat.. and try to eat the healthy stuff, and not too much of the high-fatuated stuff. Try exercising in the house maybe, if you do not want to exercise infront of others. If you want to lose weight, do it the healthy way! Good Luck!
