I'm not sure i completely buy into either exclusively but i was thinking, there is a third option.mutation isnt the answer.

Could God just Have put His finger on our heart,
We are seperate and above from animals, this is an unargueable fact, this could only have come from God.

If there is just a single cell in our body that is not a progression or mutation then thats evolution shown for what it is,half an answer.

Nick p*creationism is just a reaction to evolution?evolution has only been with us 150years.Also with regard to galileo the earth being flat was the scientific reason of the day,the bible never said the world was flat.

Hey thats a great question dude. I tend to agree with you.

Will we ever find this single cell, this one molecule deliberatly put out of place by something that transcends? I don't think so. Still
For me its more than enough to see life as the masterpiece that it is, and since i first took interest in biology i could'nt avoid seeing God's finger in all of it.

You are asking a lot of questions here, and some of your questions assume answers to other questions that you are also asking.

If you assume that God has intervened in evolution, then you believe in 'intelligent design', end of story. It was a Christian philosopher, William of Occam, who is credited with formulating the principle of reasoning known as Occam's Razor. That principle states that any explanation of any phenomenon should make as few assumptions as possible. Any attempt to explain how or why we are here that involves assuming the existence of god violates that principle, because as soon as you postulate that god exists, you are obliged to explain what you mean by god, who god is, what are the exact scope and nature of his powers and so on, and the trouble with that is that nobody has any direct proof of the existence of god, so his existence is extremely problematic from the standpoint of explaining anything at all. As soon as you postulate the existence of god as a way of explaining anything, the burden is on you to prove his existence, and frankly, good luck. The finest minds in three major religions have not yet succeeded in constructing a logical proof that god exists. As for an empirical demonstration...forget it.

We are not 'separate and above from animals'; we are just the animal that has the most developed sense of language. In that respect, we are way ahead. In other ways....not always so much.

Finally, what proof do you have that people have souls?

"Could God just Have put His finger on our heart,
We are separate and above from animals, this is an unarguable fact, this could only have come from God."

What you just said is "Intelligent Design". Only you are honest in your belief that the development of man is the act of a Supreme Being. "Intelligent Design" leaves the Supreme Being out of the story to avoid violation of the rules concerning Church and State.

Why do people have souls? Better you should ask: DO people have souls?

An unarguable fact?

Edit:
un·ar·gu·a·ble

un·ar·gu·a·ble [un árgyoo əb’l]
adj
undeniably true or correct: so clearly true or correct that nobody can argue with it or deny it

Watch me argue against it. What makes us so above the animals? You might point out our abilities to communicate so well and to be empathetic toward one another. But these things have worked out for us so well. Seem like good traits for us to evolve into having.

You think we are special because you are a human, ants would probably view themselves as kings if they thought that way. I don't know where you got that soul rubbish either.

evolution is a fact. creationism is just reaction by the religious when they feel as though science is threatening their beliefs. you have to remember, science has proven many of our old beliefs in religion wrong, remember gallileo and his discovery of earth around the sun and how long it took for the catholic church to finally accept that. I think religious folks have a problem with man evolving from monkey. if you took that out of the equation no one disputes evolution, except for the museum in kentucky that believes man used to ride the dinasour which is actually rediculous. I think the creator of the museum also believed that noah had a pair on the boat which adds to the absurdity of the story to begin with. if you really believe word for word the stories of the bible then some one needs to call 911.

What we have is an electrical current which is the same as all living creatures have so if want to call that a soul then all the other animals have one as well. We're animals just as much as the other creatures on this planet. Do we not kill prey to survive, mate to continue on the species, and so does any other animal on this rock we all reside on together. Just because a book claims we're a high level of animal doesn't make it true.

My cat had fallen asleep in my lap yesterday afternoon like she usually does. I gaze down at her as all four legs twitch, lips curl, gently murmuring at whatever apparations are chasing her in her dreams.

You don't have to make the assumption that you have any more or less of a soul than any thing, living or not. Gaze at the sunset, feel the rain hit your eyes, and perhaps some day you will feel the connection.

1) Why not?

2) I couldn't fight off a house cat. What makes you think you're so special? We just adapted to different ways of defending ourselves.

3) Why could it have only come from god? We have another perfectly good explanation.

4) No, it's not. You haven't established that.

5) You haven't showed here that we have souls. No one ever has.

Evolution is the physical history of God's knowledge of genetic engineering and cloning over billions of years ago and up until the start of the modern era. God is also the missing link in the gaps of evolution who made the genetic changes in all species. Written proof of God's knowledge of microbiology is eve dent in His instructions in the Laws of Moses.

I think you'll find your answer if you so some research into the human pineal gland. It's our 'third eye' (literally) it's the seat of the soul, the door to enlightenment, it's where we percieve God and spirituality. DesCartes discovered this 4 centuries ago, and modern science still doesn't completely understand it.
there are other animals that have this vestigial third eye, yet they do not have the higher functioning brains we have,
