what matters most is how you feel about yourself. If you want to lose weight then do is sensibly which is 1 to 2 pounds a week. I know that doesn't sound like much but when you take it off slowly like that you're less likely to put it back on. You also need to eat healthy and exercise. Get your family involved in helping you. They don't need to play "food police" and watch everything you eat but just supportive of you and not tempt you with stuff you shouldn't have.
If you can talk to someone from Weight Watchers - they have age restrictions so they could tell you if you could join. It's a really good program. I know a person who lost 134 pounds and another who lost over 70!!
I don't know how tall you are but I don't think 180 pounds is a healthy weight for you. Check with your doctor before you try any dieting and exercise program.
Good Luck, hon.

Think about this because when these guys turn 30 years old if they think that they can not be old bald fat men then they need a reality check. You are 14 and you body is going through changes so stay healthy and eat healthy meals with exercise and as hard as it is to ignore those cruel names you are being called stop and think that these statements are coming from 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 year old immature young people who have to learn how to treat others with respect.

Well don't worry about the guys they like all different girls. Worry about yourself. I have to say 180 pounds and 14 years old is quite a lot, are you happy with yourself like that? You know just making healthy food choices, drinking lots of water and getting some excersize could make a world of difference.

some guys like fat chicks. It's true! I have this fat friend who has a skinny boyfriend and I was confused by that until one day I was looking up something on his computer and he had all this fat porn on his desktop and I was o! he just likes fat chicks! So I guess you just need to find a guy who likes you the way you are, they exist, I promise! Especially if you're hot or cute as you say, because my fat friend isn't even pretty and she has a cute boyfriend

Well although I'm of average weight, I still look big, and sure, some guys may prefer skinny girls, but the ones who judge by appearances truly aren't worth your time. I have a really great boyfriend who has no problem with the physical part of our relationship. You do deserve to be happy, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise!!

From personal experience just be who you are don't ever change for anyone. If they have a problem with the way you look then ignore them, it may be hard but pain is a part of life and remember sticks and stones. If a skinny girl was to come up and punch you in the face you would hit her back and still have the advantage over her because you are the way you are.

This is a tough one. On the one hand, I want to tell you to be yourself and not to worry what others think ~ on the other hand, I know that being overweight is not healthy. It can cause all kinds of health problems as you get older. You are just a child and your body is still growing. Start eating healthy foods, don't eat too many sweets or chips (junk food) and exercise. Even if it's walking around the block. Please don't do it for others, do it for you. Obesity can and does lead to poor circulation, diabetes, liver problems and the list goes on and on. Don't fall into the unhealthy trap. Good luck.

Well first off, dont let anyone elses rude remarks get to you! It's not their life its yours!

Dont turn to ED's to solve your problems. All you have to do is eat healthy && exercise! Cut back on all the junk foods like chips, candy, soda, etc. && try to eat more salads, oatmeal, nuts, etc. And the exercise doesnt even have to be intense exercise, just a walk around the block would be good. As long as your not just sitting on your butt all day. Going out to the mall is good exercise too :)

Dont let anyone bring you down ok hun! :) Not all guys prefer skinny girls. BELIEVE ME!! Your only 14, you have many years ahead of you to know which guys are suited for you and which guys arent!! Your still growing too, so dont worry!! Just eat healthier & exercise a little. (even if its just swimming!) But most of all, dont turn to ED's && dont let anyone cause you to feel looked down on or sad! Because all us girls are beautiful inside && out!! :) Take care sweetie!!!

if a boy does not want to talk to you because of the way you look then forget them....you are beautiful no matter what being skinny is not always a good thing and you should not turn to a disorder to loose weight... you are still young and boys should not be on your mind anyway if you cant find someone who loves you for who you are and what you look like already then you need to just move on. dont make the mistake in making yourself sick just so that the boys at school will like you... its not healthy for you at all

Man why does growing up have to be so hard sometimes.

A girls/womans attitude about herself is evident. You can see it in the way they carry themselves, the look in their eyes etc..
You work toward being the person you want to be and do it in a healthy way. Be determined. But dont go over the edge into things like bulimia.
Personality overcomes alot.
Make the best of yourself, dress nice, and highlight your good features. And have a positive attitude. I promise you it will pay off.
Stay positive and good luck to you :)
