The bible says that we need to fallow Jesus' example... Jesus was baptized. I believe that instead of just saying we need to act on what we say. I believe that you do need to be baptized. I am not trying to offend anyone, this is just what I believe. You also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. I hope this helps... I don't want you to think that I am trying to force my beliefes on you or anyone else. You asked a question so I answered it the way I believe to be true...
May God Bless you!

Baptism is necessary and it is a biblical fact where the apostles were instructed by Christ himself to baptize the nation in the name of the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.
Christ himself in the flesh was baptized to give us an example to be baptized and he said that is to " fulfill every righteousness" he did it even though he didn't need it but wanted to give us the that at example such as fasting as well for forty days for us to emphasize the importance of things and give example to the disciples and the apostles ( the leaders of the Church that He himself appointed)
Here are some references:
Baptism for justification Mt 28:19
Necessary for Salvation Mk 16:16
For the forgiveness of sins Act 2:38
Washing away of sins 1Cor 6:11, Act 22:16
Death and Resurrection with Christ Rom 6:2-6

Baptised by water is just a statement you are making, but considered something needed to be done. Baptism of the Holy Spirit will be your next and last step in graduating from kindergarten to the whole world of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Bible...with true weapons for Spiritual Warfare.
God Bless! :)

Yes, to be considered a Christian. Jesus commanded believers be baptized, and as such it is an outward sign of one's faith. If a person claims to accept Jesus for who he says he is LORD and Savior, then why not do what he says. Afterall it's an easy thing. Consider the Ethiopian who said to Philip, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn’t I be baptized?" Acts 8:36 So what are you waiting for?

Nope. I'm a Baptist and don't consider baptism neccesary for salvation. Some Christian faiths will try to tell you that you need to, I believe the Chrurch of Christ for instance, believes it is neccesary. It's a matter of faith and how scripture is interpreted, but I have confidence that it isn't neccesary for salvation. I have been baptized and saw it as a symbolic way to make a public profession of my faith in Christ. Kind of like a contract I make with the world, I don't need the contract, but it gives me a sense of accountability.

Yes. First you need to repent (be godly sorry for all of your sins). Then you need to be baptized in the "name of Jesus". Now you need to speak in other tongues, as the spirit of god gives utterance. Then you can say that you are born again, (saved), have eternal life. Get your bible. Read Acts: 2:38.
Pray and ask the lord to lead you to a Holyghost filled Pentecostal church. Consider yourself blessed. You have just received a divine revelation. The Lord reveals himself to those who have a sincere desire for truth. Keep on praying, it will come to past. Be blessed!

No you don't have to do it to be considered a Christian. You do it as an act of obedience to the Word of God. It tells us to follow Christ in Baptism. It is a way of publicly proclaiming your faith in Christ and signifies the washing away of your sins and becoming a new creature. You don't "have" to do it, however it is important. Why ever would you not? God bless!!

Nope, baptism is just an "outward sign of an inward work". It's not necessary for salvation or to be considered a Christian.

Being baptized with water is an act of obedience that a Christian should do but it is not essential for salvation.
