D: that which the catholics and the christians sought to exterminate from the face of the earth return to tell the humans what spirituality is really about.... the shaman, healers, philosophers, medicine men and women... the witch doctors and so on.... they are returning

I would say B. As humans become more reliant on science and technology, I think religion will outlive it's usefulness and die out. If we don't destroy ourselves first, I do think humans as a whole will evolve beyond the need for religion.
