I miss the coverage and announcers that FOX and NBC has. The only intelligence i saw today was in some of the pit crew reporters and DJ. Come on ESPN, get soem people who know what they are talking about.

I just happened to email ESPN my thoughts and views, now shall see what kind of comment I may get. By the way, did watch the Busch race.

Yeah, you're right! That was the most boring commentating I've ever seen. I think my radio will get some use next weekend too. My t.v. will be on mute!! I noticed they had a lot of commercials and went to Tim Brewer a lot, also. It really shocked me, but I guess that's the price the fans pay for Nascar hitting the big time. (The whole marketing thing stinks!)

ESPN is new to the NASCAR game and, frankly, they just don't get it yet. DJ was good--that was to be expected. Brad
Daugherty has been part of NASCAR for years and is pretty
much an expert, but he has the personality and dynamism of a dish rag. Suzy Kolber is a pretty face, but she's just an all-purpose ESPN "personality," not a racing person. I was particularly disappointed with the coverage of qualifying on Saturday. The graphic displays were difficult to read and confusing. I miss Fox and their pros, but I'm glad that TNT and NBC are done. Their announcers/reporters were good,
but the five minutes of racing/five minutes of commercials was really annoying, and the "commercial free" coverage at Daytona was awful. But, judging from ESPN's history, I have to believe that they'll get a lot better. I just hope they realize how lame their graphic displays are.

I asked a similar question a bit back today. I am in the know...as I know some quiet well in NASCAR's top media......here's a fun fact for you ....ESPN had begun test cup broadcast since last fall. Couldn't tell could you......and the woman sitting with Dale Jarrett was a reader ...he was dead on at the camera as he spoke. They like the big bucks....you should know the sport....I was in Charlotte last fall when all these broadcasters were introduced to the media in Oct.......they didnt make sense then...they still dont today...You think they would be at a point where they had some kind of relationship on camera. ...they are dry...monotoned. DW and crew are the best........you would think they would have looked at what has worked for NASCAR fans.....go figure. We watched the race on mute...and put Sirius on for color and excitement of the race........they wont improve anytime soon. They are ESPN after all and the are right .....the leader in sports.......lol

After all this time, I've become accustomed to have low expectations for race broadcasts, so this wasn't too disappointing to me. If you guys had watched their Busch Series coverage, you would have probably forseen this better, like I did.
Overall, they do need to get some things right, but it's not as bad as you guys are saying it is. Except that they missed the kissing the bricks part, that was just wrong.

do no longer forget approximately Joe Theismann, ever the soccer partisan whilst the 'Skins are on the sector. The Tom Cruise photographs have been comprehensible pondering Daniel Snyder's present day cope with Cruise's production enterprise. FOX places out a sturdy product, yet they nonetheless overuse the garbage overhead angles they ripped off from the XFL. All in all, the insurance did no longer rub me the incorrect way. I enjoyed my first Vikings interest considering the fact that those idiots acquiesced to synthetic controversy and traded Moss away for magic beans. the main factor I remember from final night's interest isn't stressful approximately our QB fumbling or throwing a p.c.. in a rigidity situation.

I was so glad when we got rid of the TNT bunch, but now I think the ESPN group is worse. They even get the drivers names wrong. I wonder how many races we have to put up with this boring bunch.

The coverage of the open whell series is a lot better, I like the no commercial format. Not very much to say beyond that it was all covered.

I thought it was horrible. I press mute on the tv and turned on Sirius radio. Even with the 20 second delay on the radio I was hearing about position changes on it before they talked about it or showed on the tv.

ESPN's TV director and producer sucked eggs.

It was the worst ever and ESPN has the rest of the races this year. The voice of that Suzie annoyed me to no end and I have never cared for Brent Musberger.

I like ESPN's coverage, but I think they should do the side by side thing like they do for the IRL races.
