We are having a candy buffet at our wedding and I am looking for cute personalized bags for the guests to fill with candy. I am having a hard time finding a good size. They are either too small (will only hold a few pieces) or too large (this would deplete our supply too quick).
Can anyone reccommend a good size or something that they have used? Thanks :)

For some reason I have always thought that those little brown paper bags (like tiny lunch bags) were so cute.
Maybe you could buy a wedding type stamp and ink and stamp the bags with a color that you are using in the wedding. Or have a stamp made with your names and date on it.
Good Luck and Congratulations!

You need something like this. Cloth bags like that are not airtight and the candy is going to get stale, hard, and just generally nasty. Not to mention will sprinkle sugar from the candies all over everything. (there is a reason candy never comes in cloth bags) It is also going to be very hard to fill the bags you have chosen because they don't stand up by themselves and have a very narrow opening. You will end up with more candy on the floor than in the bags.
These have a little window to see what candies are in there and are resealable to keep the candy fresh if they don't want to pig out in one sitting. You could either print stickers with your mongram and add them to the bag or use a stamp. Add some ribbon if you want to dress them up. Most guests are considerate and won't hog up half the candy buffet and they have the smaller sizes if you want.

I like the bags you showed. the problem I find with the ones others are showing is the dont have a flat bottomn on them to stand them up so once people fold the top over to keep the candy from falling out, they can hardly fit anything in there. and although you dont want people pigging out, you want them to be able to take hom more then 5 jelly beans. the bags you picked can pe closed to prevent candy from spilling and unlike someone already said, I wouldnt throw it out afterwards...I would keep the bag and use it again for something.
oh...and 5X7 is just fine!

First I love the idea of a candy buffet instead of typical wedding favors! I think those bags you found with the drawstring will be perfect!
Good luck!

On the same website that you had...I think these will be a little better. A perk to it, is that you can put them through a home printer and "do it yourself" with your names and wedding date on it. You could also do what my friend did, hole punch the top of the bag twice and then put a personalized ribbon through it with your wedding dates and name on it instead, and then print "thank you" on the bags....Just an idea!

Go with 5X7 inch tulle bags with drawstrings. You can either purchase them at your local craft store, in your wedding colors, or you can get them on ebay, through "efavormart" (that is where I got my 3x4 tulle bags. Very nice).

I think these are what you are looking for. Good Luck. You want a paper bag because candy will melt or possibly stick to whatever you put in it. Something cloth will also cost more and people will only throw it out. Use paper.

I like the ones you showed a lot!
Also, the candy buffet is a really good idea, one that you don't really see often.
