If you are thinking about breeding her now..DON'T..she is too young. She needs to be at least 2 and have had and passed genetic testing..OFA/PennHip, CERF/PRA, thyroid, etc and needs to be evaluated to make sure she meets breed standard.

Some dogs bleed to some extent the entire cycle and some only for @ 10 days.Usually dogs are most fertile between the 9th and 14th day but this can vary between individual dogs so don't count on it since some can be as early as four days. Keep her away from amles for her ENTIRE heat, don't let her out unsupervised.

i breed dogs and my dog bleeds for around 1 month and dogs are fertile the whole time they bleed oh yea and you need to wait until she is older.

if you are concerned about the bleeding, getting her fixed will stop that! and she will be better off getting spayed.
