I wasn't suggesting that England is the country in question.

It was purely a generic question.

Yes. I feel like i cant even have freedom of speech anymore without being accussed of having racist undertones because people 'affected' play the race card too quickly and dont actually listen to what you have to say.

Don't worry about that, as long as you know yourself that you're not racist it all it count, do good for your country, your family and your community regardless of who benefit from your goodness withing your community, remember that the worst case we have in the USA today is the elimination of 80 millions Indians people and the rest still living in concentration camp up today without any help at all. As a Spanish inventor, I get over 200 email per day from which over 50 are sending me to hell, while others are congratulating me for the ideas.
visit: www.santanaeffect.com and please tell me where is there something about racist or anything of that nature.

Racism and patriotism, hmm.
I guess this could be seen as racism toward Muslims if you are an extreme and uneducated patriot.

It's kinda tough to be patriotic these days when you look at what the American government is doing. They've ripped up the constitution and taken our civil rights.

No. Only the squalid racists in the world peddle this nonsense to make themselves look hard done by.

Nationalism is accepted throughout the world. It is just that right wing fascist organisations seize upon the national flags of countries and use them to present themselves as nationalists...in fact they are nothing but thugs and morons.

You can be as patriotic as you want, there is nothing racist in being of a nationality...and there never can be.

It would depend if the patriotism comes at the expense of prejudging some one because they are not from the country you are proud of.

From a proud Scot living in a foriegn land!

Only if you are English. It’s fine for everyone else.

I don't mind anymore. The word racist has been so watered down by constantly being misused that it is meaningless now. I am proud to be an English racist.

in these days, when borders are fading, 'patriotic' became a little obsolete. internationalists assume you as 'racist'. this experiment have been tried before in the eastern block, late 40, early 50,behind the iron curtain , by komintern, a jewish wing of stalin's bolshevic party. it was painful . it is a way to destroy nations.

I think it's only the English that have that problem. One day I will have two flag poles standing tall and proud from my front lawn, the first from which will fly the cross of St. George, the second the Union Jack. I am English first and British second, and I am damn well proud of my national heritage!

Does depend on the country in question. If it were Israel or Lebanon the yes. because you would be expected to fight for your country and perhaps kill another and hate another race. But if you are referring to United States then no, because we live in a society that tries (note tries) to encourage racial equality, but does not always end up that way.
