what is it if it swells and gets pinker

That should be the tear duct.
If it swells, you might have a stye there, or another type of infection.
Try getting more sleep and perhaps using a sterile eye wash from the pharmacy. If it doesn't get better in a week or so, please consider going to the eye doctor.

Tear ducts
If it swells and gets pinker then it can be one of three things....you are about to tear up, you are having an allergic reaction to something, or you have an infection in your eye

That area is part is called lacrimal punta and it is part of the tear duct, which drains tears from your eyes. If it's swollen and painful and your eye has like secretions then the duck may be blocked preventing drainage of secretions from the eyes. It needs medical attention.

don't know about people but in dogs it's a hardarian gland and when it gets really big and sticks out it is also known as cherry eye....not too big a deal but needs to be dealt with asap...hello.....it's your eye and you only have two.

Your tear duct. It can become inflamed, swell, and redden with allergies or infection.

i dont want any credt but i read in a book somewhere that its called your tear duct
it think it helps sheds tears????????? maybe?
