Absolutely. If it is true love, then there is no reason why your relationship couldn't work without sex. Oh and I think that is a VERY good idea to abstain from sex until marriage. Smart choice. I had sex with someone I wasn't in love with and it has come back to bite me in the butt too many times. It was a huge mistake. I'm glad you have more brains than I did. =)

I don't believe it can, which is why, I believe if someone doesn't want to have sex, they should not be entering into a serious relationship. I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. In a relationship, what is the primary role of "sex"? It is the most intimate connection anyone can have with another human being. It is top of the line, nothing better, when it comes to connecting. When a couple has makes love, they are reconnecting... rekindling those flames. During arousal, hormones are secreted, and all that jazz, that attract the two people together. The scent and sight of their partner, excites them. Obviously. So, if you are hoping to have the best possible connection with someone, hugs and kisses are needed. That's why moms and dads are encouraged to hug and kiss and cuddle and massage their babies. It sends a message of acceptance and trust and happiness and comfort. It's kind of the same thing with two adults. They hug and kiss and cuddle and massage in order to express their love for one another. I'm sure you are abstaining from sex for religious purposes, so I won't say you shouldn't do that. But, to be honest, abstinence may be the best protection against STDs and pregnancy, BUT, it also really hurts relationships. If you wait until you are already married to have sex with someone, who says you will like it? What if the two of you are completely sexually turned off from one another? Are you supposed to just pretend that it's good? That's why marriages fail! Sex is made out to be such a bad thing, but if you are careful and take all preventative measures, sex between 2 loving, caring adults who are in a serious relationship is perfectly okay.

Yes! A relationship should be about intimacy not "sex". What if your significant other had cancer or was in a car wreck and was not able to have sex? A strong relationship will be based on genuine love and intimate moments...that do not have to include sex of any sort. I definately say yes!

My husband David and I didn't have sex until our wedding night! Yes! David and I did things while we were engaged. We went to the park and just did things that didn't involve sex. I know this is old fashion but we had a chaperon with us. And that made us more stronger of a couple. We are glad we had a chaperon

Of course it is possible, and abstinance is such a great thing! You will learn a lot about the person you are in a relationship with, and will really know that they love you and take you seriously if they are willing to wait. No NOT compromise this standard.

I have been married for 13 years to my best friend with "almost" no sex. So, if you both sincerely agree to abstain and your really, really, really committed to each other then the answer is yes.

I can tell you haveing a severe dissability the past 3 years, yes you can survive it. But only if you have true love, if you don't , I don't see how it would. Someone has to understand what your going thru, if they don't, I wouldn't give marriage much of a chance. JMHO

Yes it can. If both of you feel strongly about waiting for marriage it will work.
