Perhaps your cleaning it too frequently, do you wash it, or touch it alot? What are you putting on it? You should clean it with a mild cleanser while you bath, and only spread a thin layer of cocca butter over it as needed, i'dd say no more than 6 times a day. I have several tats and I can tell you it is sore, itchy, and eventually peels and looks like the colors falling out. The more you mess with your tat, the longer the healing process will be. Its also important not to overdo it with the lotion, clean it in the morning, and before bed only, I used to lotion when I woke up, at lunch, and at night while i was geting ready for bed.

The site around the tattoo is normally sore and tender for approximately 2 hours after the event. Also the site should be protected from the sun for 48 hours. If you are experiencing pain, then you should go to a doctor as it may be a sign of an infection.

My mom got a tattoo the same day i got my belly button pierced The tattoo artist gave my mom this stuff its called "Doctor Burt's Res-Q Ointment." Of course like yours my moms tat started hurting, swelling, turning red so she put that stuff on there and within seconds it felt better! You have to put it on every once in a while but it helps! Good luck! Hope this helps!

it depends on alot if your tat is in a very touched area well its gonna hurt but since it was yesterday id say you have at least 3 more days of stinging and redness. after a week see a doc. try getting a luke warm shower this will help the skin release some heat

Grin and bear it. That's all part of the process. If it didn't hurt during and after, then everyone would get one. Ask the tattoo artist what creams, if any, you can put on it. Many artists don't recommend any creams to allow it to heal faster.

But you just had a needle poked into your skin a million times, it'
s gonna hurt.

Try some advil if you can take it.

Yeah, call the tattoo parlor and ask them. They should be able to help you if you went to a reputable establishment. Mine hurt for 3-4 days after and was store and stung. It's fine now, but who knows.

I've got four tattoos, and they've stung for a few days afterwards. Depending on where (on your body) you have it, you will experience discomfort. But if you have questions, call the tattoo artist and ask him/her.

Bet it feels like a bad sunburn huh?

Not much you can do unfortunately. Just make sure to keep it clean, use your A&D couple times daily for three days then switch to lubriderm lotion.

Dont worry, it'll go away soon.

There really isn't much you can do. Try taking an ibuprofen which will reduce the swelling of it a little.
