I want to make a bunch of food that can be frozen, so she can have for later. I also got some canned foods for her and her kids. So far I have made enchaladas and spaghettie sause for her but what else can I make that can be frozen for longer.
I bought her some baked beans, refried beans, chicken broth, rice, hamburger helper, mac and cheese, and some jars of spaggettie sause. I dont want her to have to resort to top ramin if I can help her out.
I need some suggestions on what else I can make her or what else to buy that will keep for a while. Im out of ideas

casseroles, soups and chili freeze well. i'd suggest getting her a gas card (petro) and a walmart card and a grocery store card. that way she has some freedom to get what she needs.

ham, turkey, cookie dough for the kids to bake out, homade soup mixes, brownie mixes ect.
4 ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies (you can freeze this dough)
1 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
1 cup sugar (and a little extra in seperate dish)
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
Heat oven to 375ËF. Beat egg, sugar, and vanilla. Add peanut butter until throughly combined.( if you want to freeze the dough put it in a container that is air tight.)
Drop by spoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Take a fork and dip it in the sugar and create the criss-cross pattern. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cooland then enjoy. Goes great with cold milk.

Get her some frozen or canned vegi's. Green beans, corn, etc. These are basics and are necessary. Powdered milk. Or I guess they have the boxed type that doesn't need refrigeration until it's opened. Gravy mix for the rice. Hot dogs. Pop corn.

Check out some of the recipe sites. Lasagne freezes well as do most soups and chilis. Make sure your friend gets her unemployment benefits and checks into food stamps as well. Look for ads that are buy one get one free and give the other item to your friend. Remember she'll need items like toliet paper and soap as well. You are a wonderful friend and I hope she has more like you.

Canned soups are always a favorite with children, along with canned Ravioli, etc. If you get the Store Brand, it is a lot cheaper. Lipton rice and pasta sides are inexpensive, served with canned chicken, ham or tuna which is also inexpensive.

That is very nice of you.
Some easy things I can think of are: Meatballs for the pasta.
Croquettes. Fish, cold meat chicken.
Savouries. (muffin pan pies)
Cheese Rolls.
Scones.
Frittata's
I have recipes, if you wish.
