Does accompanying parent need a letter of permission from other parent to take him over? Parents are married & reside together with minor.

You need to carry a signed, notarized letter from the other parent giving permission for the child to be taken out of the country. you may not be asked forit, but you may..so best to be prepared. ust type up a letter, go to your bank and a notary can witness the signature for $5.00 or in some banks, for free. Very easy.

Yes it's a good idea. I have been told to have one, although I've always gotten away with it when I haven't. It probably depends on the age of the child, I'd say under three have one for sure, over twelve probably not necessary.

I've heard you should get it notarized, but I haven't bothered. What I have done is had a photocopy of my husband's passport along.
